So helping a mate with a 4age into mk2 escort conversion. Brought a package off trade me with 4age + loom/ecu + k50 + engine mounts
The 4age has no writing on top and was said to be the earliest 4age you could get, it has TVIS so assuming its a "blue top" big port engine.
First problem we are having is we have a supposedly have a 4age starter but the starter wheel/gear doesn't meet flywheel when bolted to the k50 housing. appears the starter wheel needs to be offset kind of like:
Also the shifter that came with it appears to short, but first hurdle is getting it started
Any experience or thoughts?
