  1. For the record we don't actually meet IN the backyard bar, just in the car park.

    Oh, and your 100% about the Morris Minor, I'm just too slack to fix it and hate drum brakes... (It's actually a really original straight as one lol)

    Those drums get hot when stopping over 80MPH but you can get a disk kit now (never bought one though) That bar has a big guy to stop people getting in right?

  2. Awesomeamazeboobs. Will see peeps at about 6:45!

    Unfortunately it will not be in the Morris. As it is a piece of shit.

    Not necessarily shit, just needs tinkering. (had heaps of them & regret selling them)

    Not going because i have no idea where it is....  oh wait i know where the backyard bar is but still i'd be banned in like 1 minute.

  3. HIF44 may be too big and that the 1000cc motor may not be able to suck enough air to get it to perform properly at those higher rev numbers.

    i think i had one of those carb's it has been a while so i am not sure of the numbers.  i got it to work but went smaller because high revs were fine but the low range was terrible? (not enough airflow?  i might be way off here)

  4. There is nothing left on it worth saving anymore, most of the panels have rusted away,

    What gearbox/engine/driveshaft does it have? i might have a driveshaft that needs modding but i want a stick shifter & 1200/a14/a15 (secretly huge fan of putting datsun engines in british cars) i save the stuff nobody else wants.

  5. Nar it was dumpd in the bush, been there as long as i can rember. there is allsorts of old cars down there, use to beet on them with hammers when I was younger

    For Free!  best price.  (only want parts really)

  6. Spotted the crazytim wags in a taka car park, turned up and parked next to the maroon one, came back and the other one was on the other side of my viva haha.

    Is the middle one the one that used to sit in a small lake/big pond hanging off the end of a wharf?

  7. I've just sort of got into this stuff (not massively, and I have no idea what happens with electronics - according to me what happens is electricity goes in, magic happens, and sound comes out). I bought 2 old valve radios off of trademe for $20. The intention was to rip the insides out and replace them with the guts of a stereo so that I can play my iPod through it, and it would just look a bit more interesting than a standard iPod dock.

    One was in too good shape to rip apart, so that one got restored as is (I should put some photos up later), and the other one is full of borer and in pretty bad shape, but a cooler old style of box, so I'm going to try and restore the box as best as I can and transplant a freebie stereo into it.

    Anyway long story short, I've got a few (6-7ish?) old valves etc that you can have if you want.

    Ha, i had a borer ridden case i installed a cassette player from a car in a few years back.  Did not know anyone was still doing that stuff.

    return to normal broadcasting now.
