Bunnings gas wasn't a thing when I first started bird shitting on things so I have my own cylinder. Last time it needed a test it was ~$100 including a CO2 fill. Have got bits and pieces from these guys before and they sell cylinders. https://weldplus.co.nz/5kg-co2-ownership-cylinder-filled-s-n/

Mine will probably be due a test again by the time I go through the 6.8KG of gas. Good to have no rental costs though. Bunnings deal could be worth looking into as I think it was better than BOC. Plus BOC can get fucked as they sure seemed to charge a lot when there was no competition in the DIY market.

are you on Air Liquide ownership ?

Why waste money on a honda when you could weld a 19mm shaft onto the end of a GN125 motor,

just add coupling to front sprocket, for extra 5 gears, make sure bike stand is decent.
best bit is de-coupling, to ride to supply shop for more cutting fluid

seems too much of a coincidence, is that the 3pot HRE was building?

Jack Hawkswood maybe ? , as he seemed a bit unimpressed with his new car, which is sister-car to McKenzies, i believe

    I'm back,

This time it's my falcon ute with rear imbalance..

First test was L200 - R240 (listed as 27% imbalance) but my maths says 20%

Stripped slider pins, cleaned and re-greased there was a bit of crud on the left ones, they move nice and free in the bore.

    Went back for a re-test now L300 - R360 so new 26%

Discs and pads have less than 10,000ks on them and look mint, no uneven wear..

Is there a chance if the lsd setting on the roller machine isn't done incorrectly that you could get an out of wack reading?

we often had semi-seized pistons in the Falcons, especially the utes . maybe from burnouts or too many heavy loads rooting the prop. valve

I feel like including the knackered batteries in the mix of this will do more harm than good. Would they even offer up the capacity you're needing from them?

Purely for examples sake, this unit is used for 3D printers https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/computers/3d-printers-supplies/3d-parts-accessories/listing/3652425447?bof=0yiT1ElZ

Scrap the batteries to fund a 24v PSU

that's the 24v version of what i will try and keep the smoke in tomorrow

Just checked all mine, largest is 200W and all 12V. I do have a spare 200W 24V supply if thats any use for testing?

Or, buy the 600W Ali express supply, by the time it turns up summer will be here and you can dump it in the pile of unfinished projects.

have recently bought 12v 30Amp unit, and very doubtful about its capabilities....... might wire up tomorrow to see if smoke stays in, as need heating in shed capsicums are sulking

OK foamers, ballpark how much is this worth?

Looks to be a beam axle but will check.

Been quoted 3k for rust work for a warrant.

I have not seen it, nor will I be able to.

    took a 93 , similar kms, tidy-ish with add-ons, south for a $14K buyer 3 weeks ago

  8. plenty of NZ new Y-series engines, see if you can find carb and manifold
had 3Y in YN57 hilux ute, and was as cheap to run as my 5L diesil hilux, and 7AFE corolla

i had the crappy emissions nonsense on an early incarnation of 3T silliness, and was a prick for miss/ carb icing, richening/leaning, so fitted NZ new carb manifold... too easy

For anyone that might come across this thread in future searching for an answer, I called Palmside and they said either 150 or 170 would be fine, the guy I spoke to said he would go 170.

it is all relative to what the tune is, and where you want the power to be.
there is a good tech article floating around by Dave Vizard? that explians how and where changes are made. he did have a tuning programm that one could change parameters , and give baseline jetting for varous tunes

I would expect Palmside to be pretty knowledgable on which bits to go for. They are pretty into Escorts.

Not saying don't ask here, but more so that when i've been in there they have been helpful. Wasn't for jets, but still.

    this

Deane and co know their stuff..... especially with those wee english harlets
