Super late notice, but who's keen for a pre-wagnats, 1 night wag/van/shanty town camp?
I'm thinking Saturday OR Sunday night, comment with your preference, over in Wainuiomata at the Rimutaka Forest park campground.
Camp prices: $13 per adult and $6.50 per child.

Let's get back in to this!
We're gonna give the unforgiving South coast another go and head to Princess Bay (see map below), lets hope for the best! Beaver will bring along his BBQ so bring some snags, or shrimp if you're that way inclined, to throw on the barbie and lets look at some cars and have a chin wag.
Map, somewhere in this carpark

I've texted one of the girls from work who is on her way up to Taupo.
Will let you know if any sightings!

Drop bike off earlier and train back out?

Get a bicycle tube patch kit and we'll repair them over beers. It'll look fuckin cool after we finish.
They're cracked along the sole. Not sure it's patchable....

I would be inclined to agree, if my gumboots weren't less waterproof than my chucks

I'm really glad we've timed this perfectly to turn up just in time for rain.
Walked home in the rain yesterday, it was lovely.

How long can it take to buy a roll of snags, loaf of bread and 2 x 6 packs of diesels.
3 hours. There's a lot of different kinds of snags and bread

Of course it is. I read this yesterday, but didn't want to make the egregious leap that you were referring to me.

Txt you mañana
Well, jeez. If I'm that much trouble....
I'll remember that the next time your drunk ass needs a ride home

Can we move it back to the following Thurs?
Otherwise how about Lyall Bay? Plenty of seafront space for park up and Spruce Goose is a nice pub if ya want / bring ya fish'n'chips.
That's odd. They let you bring your own food in to the pub?

Anyone got any suggestions for inside locations in the Area?

Lets celebrate 1 year since we got stuck at Otaki Forks....
By going back again!
Casual overnighter up at Otaki forks. Make sure to pack 4x what you think you'll need (just in case..)
Cost is $8 a night.

Beavers doing some research on the location this weekend. But will be a beach location in a Wellington suburb. I believe he plans to bring along his BBQ. Details to be confirmed after Beavers reconnaissance mission
-
I was thinking of doing a very similar thing in Wellington soon!
-
I'm definitely keen. And I have no qualms about saying Allan will be too.

No rain out these ways yet.

That looks terrible!
Like a huge beached whale flailing its flippers at the ground for purchase.

I didn't say he wasn't online. Just that he seems to be a useless cunt.

Yet again it looks like the South Coast is trying to thwart our plans!
