That way of putting them is interesting, haven't seen it before
-
Hmm yeah. I do think I'd need them as a learner. Cheers for the input guys, am on the lookout for cheap mirrors now
-
Really nice looking '85 RX7 outside the fish and chip shop the other day

When my Dad was younger and lived on a farm he made a couple of beach buggys
This one had a Humber 80 motor and was built on a Trekka chassis
And this one had a Chev V8 in it. Apparently when I was younger he took me for a ride in it, then he sold it
Looked like so much fun!

Pretty much the same thing as k-trips but without the gauge etc
-
hey man
you got any pictures of the fitting you used on the grease gun pump?
I'll go take one
-
There's a few on Trademe but pretty pricey.
I'll keep an eye out though.

how do you reckon the bullet style with adaptors would go on the doors?
yeah. generally when someone says 'door mirrors for sure', they mean 'door mirrors for sure'.
funny concept really
Who would've known
Yea, door mounted. need to source some for my Maxi so if you find something nice let me know
Will do

Alright guys I need your opinions on something.
The car currently has no mirrors and I'd like to get some.
1. What style
2. Where to put them
Taking into account that when I start driving it I'll be a learner driver so probably need good visibility and I'd prefer something cheap-ish.
Pictures for ideas and inspiration
Rather like this one
Let me know what you guys think look the best and are most practical

Cheers

-

Finished (almost).
Frame in: Went straight in, sort of surprised haha
Another picture of this
And another just because:
Waiting until next weekend to pump the suspension back up so it's pretty low at the moment
Needs a wash.
The final lowering off the stands and jacks. It kinda slipped off haha.
Don't know how to put videos on here

That'd be pretty cool! Has to be a hydrolastic mini though
-
Thanks Haha no plans for that yet. Or ever actually
-
Like 60mm haha. Nah when its that low 1. it won't go up the drive way and 2. it completely stuffs the car. Rips displacers and stuff apart.
I'm thinking about some sort of system using pumps and stuff to make it adjustable, kinda like air bags but with fluid

Some progress made tonight on removing the subframe and getting ready for the new one
This weekend it goes back together
Had to slam it again to get it out. Looks mint
Made a bit of a mess when letting the hydrolastic fluid out. Sprayed all over my face too. Anti-freeze tastes gross!
And it's out! All cracked and horrible looking
Old frame against new one. Chuck it in on saturday
Pics will come then
Lets talk it out: //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/35012-guywithaviators-1974-austin-1300/

That'd show up all the stains..

In my Austin I found a thing that looked like a zippo lighter but when you open it you can smoke weed with it. Sold it to my mate for $30. Also found parking tickets from a long time ago. A brake pad from a different car and a pile of bourbon cans.
-
I've had a bike frame powder coated before, can't remember who but it turned out really good.
Hopefully by February ill have a colour picked and get it done. $200 isn't bad for something that really sets a car off
-
I can't deicide between white and blue. Anything would be better than surface rust and silver that they are at the mo'.
Sweet as Felixx, will suss somethin out
-
I might have to do that When's next chch meet? I'll see if I can drag dad to that

Bought this today, not really sure why, was really cheap though. There are a few good bits on it, no motor. Get it sometime this week
Have been thinking about something like this potentially. With a BBQ in the boot maybe. Or just have the back end it in the garden as a seat
Perhaps not as elaborate
