I have a plan for Oct or Nov
It involves everyone bringing $2 extra
It's only a 10 min diversion but the photo ops are huge
Sounds interesting?

Hey i5oogt, will you have stickers to buy tomorrow?

^What he said, thanks Dad
love the idea of an oldschool logo on the sides.
side note, hows the v50 going? i saw a photo of it in the back of the ute at the last QCR ride, had to bail early when dads RG50 lost all spark moments after the Lyttleton tunnel bombing
Yeah I noticed you disappeared. It was on the ute because after coming down the hills I lost the tail light lens, swingarm nut and two sprocket bolts haha.
I fixed that and have just put new tires on it, so it's all good now. Running sweet as it should

Nope starts fine. Smells like oil burning though. It's white/blue. The oil level has gone down a bit too

Not really a proper update, just wanted to share these photos I took on an old roll of film I found. Pretty crap really but I like the look of them.
and one of my bikeAlso, a question, the car runs great now. But after it's been sitting for awhile and I start it, it blows white smoke quite a bit for about 5 mins. I think oil is leaking into the cylinders when it's off but I don't know where. Anyone had this problem with an a-series engine? Cheers- 1

Kids had Landcrabs, Minis, Escorts and Cortinas when I was at school and they were already old. I had an ER185. My how times have changed.
I still can't afford a 32GT-R and some school-kid has one? Cripes.
I drive a Landcrab to school
Also Connor the wagon looks so good on those wheels! I like the wooden roof rack too

*Its a British car. Its always going to leak and the carpets will always be damp.
QFT .
To try and stop this in my 1300 I need to replace the window seals like you did, have you still got the generic ones from Basis? I think they might fit my car if you're willing to part with them -

Went for the first proper drive after finishing the engine build yesterday. After dramas with plugs oiling up for no apparent reason we were away. Did almost 100 km with no troubles. I forgot how much I enjoy driving
The above picture was taken at the ashley gorge and I made it look like a period style advert in photoshop.

I hadn't thought of designing my own one, why didn't I think of that.. This is why I love OS
Cheers for that, gentleman's barber sounds good. This gives me something to do in Art class at school tomorrow.

Hey guys, can I get your opinions on something!
I'm wanting to put a logo on the side of my car, kind of like a company car but with a logo/company from the 60s or 70s. I think it will look cool and be something different
The only problem is I can't find a logo I really like..
I'm leaning towards NAC but I would like other options too
The look I'm going for is something like this:
But with period NZ logos of course. Any ideas/tell me to shut up?
-
The answer to your question is "One".
The sad thing is you're probably right haha.
-
Don't give me ideas that wouldn't be too hard though, put an automatic one in the back and just leave it in drive
-
<3
Only one goes and the rusty white one is only the rear pillars back, awaiting a motorbike engine to be dropped in the boot and handlebars put in front of the back seat

Picture heavyish post
So this thing was running ok, then went to start it and was as smoky as and wasn't running right at all.
Whipped the head off and found this:
Doesn't seem right at all. Turns out when we got the cylinder head reconditioned they didn't put a metal bung back in to block a water hole up so it has been pushing onto the gasket.Got them to put it back in
Not very impressed, won't be going back there.
After that was done I put new valve stem oil seals in
and am now in the process of putting new ignition parts on
This morning I picked the car on the right up. I need a new bootlid and had one offered to me for $50 but then this car came along for $60 with a better boot than mine so a bit of a no brainerPretty much all there apart from windscreen, carb and distributor. Thinking about taking the bits I need off, taking the body off the subframes then bolting them together to make a SWB fwd go kart thing
How many ado16s is too many?
My one makes the blue on look like it has a lift-kit

I hardly see any down here. I look forward to seeing another one on here! They're very underrated cars imo, haven't got the cult following of the mini but have the same drivetrain, doesn't make sense
-
How's this wee car going now?
Pretty good now! Haven't driven it much unfortunately.
Fixed the cylinder head and put new valve stem oil seals in. In the process of putting a new Lucas sport coil and new distributor cap/parts on at the moment.
Also picking up another complete ado16 for spares tomorrow (3rd one owned and I'm not even 18 yet, what's wrong with me? ) I'll do a proper write up on my build thread tomorrow night
