  1. Quad2 has a shiny new handbrake . Just need to bleed the brakes .
  2. Discovered the side cover has a pinhole leak , so will either patch it with some CRC type filler that suppose to work on metal or pick up a second hand cover
  3. Bought a prezzie for Quad 1 rego was $31 then $20 a year .
  4. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10212743971412438&id=1181750592 Right today I got Quad2 running . a combination of issues I found why it didn't start . start button gunged up , neutral wiring crook , gear lever all wrong
  5. WRight got the motor out again , pigs of things to get out .Put the tank in , motor went back in easily!! Next job is to do rear suspension and get enough done to start this thing up
  6. The funny thing was I messed around for ages trying to get the motor in . Then figured it out ,and in it went just after my brain said fuel tank first !!!! . Do I say stupid design or stupid me .
  7. Cock up made fuel tank has to go in before engine!!!!
  8. We'l finally got the motor into the frame ... bloody heavy . But yeah got it in . Proved a 300cc fits a 250 frame though
  9. Na sorry looks like both the quadrunner and king quad are going to need front shaft work .
  10. Picked up some parts , rear universal , two complete front cv joints , some suspension bits , cv boots and brake drum . Will use the cv , the rest of the bits will be spare parts for both where needed
  11. Repower with 1UZ , strongly recommend it , theres a YouTube of your model with one . But keep the diesel going for as long as possible , much better for rivers etc
  12. Right have finally had a chance to start putting quad2 back together slow progress will need a few nutsand bolts as the originals are slightly rusty
  13. Here's the new frame , compare it with the original and see the difference
  14. Ok have started the rebuild of Quad2 . Cleaned up a few parts and applied rust kill . Will paint black , silver where needed Quad2 replacement frame has had rust kill . Will shift it from Welly at the weekend. And start the assembly . Long way to go
  15. Right bought a frame off TM $70 , just got to get it freighted . Will need to try and put Quad 2 back together slowly and document it
  16. Right have stripped down "Rusty" just the rear shocks and the odd bit that might be needed.
  17. I've starting stripping the 300 it's got an oil cooler so that would give the required oil line for turbos. The front CVs are a bugger to remove from the front diff. But I googled it and found the way. Just a crow bar and hammer and they re off .
  18. Na sorry no spares but yep.that's the VIN
  19. Right here we go , there should be 17 numbers / letters . The first three letters mean bugger all . The next five you'll find in the first link . The tenth one is the year code . Mine is R so it's a 94. First thing you need to do is confirm your number of digits .....17
  20. Here's one site it says mines in the 90s !!! I think there's another site for working out the year exactly , https://www.motorcyclespareparts.eu/suzuki-parts/model-prefix.aspx
  21. That looks like the VIN, sorry I haven't got any spares.....yet
  22. Cool thanks for that . Yeah I found a code system on a forum somewhere that tells how to work out the year . My VIN number has a few digits that are hard to read due to the rust . I'll try and find the forum again and put the link up. Here's my VIN .
  23. Im not sure what mine are , I keep forgetting to write them down before heading home !!! But I use this site for identifying parts http://www.suzukipartshouse.com/oemparts/c/suzuki_atv/parts
  24. Question is with the bits left over do I attempt to build one up from virtually scratch . I'll need a frame for starters . TM has one but it's way down the bottom of the South Island , so freight is the killer
  25. Sizes will be important especially in 4WD. Have almost finished reassembling the Quadrunner ...now it's a King Quad!
