  1. Hayabusa engine would be fairly easy you can buy driveshaft flanges that bolt on in place of sprocket then you get a sequential box as a added bonus.

and 3-400 hp if you go turbo just chucking it in as interesting option.

  2. i read they need to warm up  little bit put off that no one has found a way to improve that. but on other hand it is a cheap complete 5 speed conversion my mate also has a stash of overdrive boxes but cant say if any of them are any good where as he can vouch for the 5 speed. bloody british cars always options but they are always shit :P  cheers for the offer a spin in your sd1 just drove one yesterday, i drove my last manual triumph with no clutch hydraulics for 2 weeks while i waited for new master and slave to come in from England so i can get used to anything its not my daily.

  3. Just been a offered a full LT77 conversion for my triumph by a good mate of mine mentioned i was looking for a 5 speed instead the usual overdrive box as they are getting pretty old now and was led to his shed and pointed at the pile of bits in corner.

Anyway would this be a good way of going reliability wise? have driven a sd1 vitesse running one of these boxes and it shifted pretty good nothing unusual about it. Opinions please.

  4. Learn how to do this and you'll love nissans again. the car knows whats fucked and will tell you how to sort it just follow steps below.

Please read all the following instructions in full before you attempt to carry a fault code read out.

    • Switch the ignition to the ON position but do not start the car.
    • Depending on its orientation of the consult plug (see below) bridge the two lower left, or upper right pins on the consult plug with the wire paper clip for 2 seconds then remove the bridge.
    • plug2.jpg
    • Observe and write down the sequence of flashed produced by the engine check light on the dash. using the information provided above.
    • Once you are satisfied you have all the fault codes bridge the consult pins again and this will erase any stored fault codes and revert the ECU back its normal operation.

    Understanding the fault code readout:

ECU fault codes are usually displayed on the engine check light on the dash, and are displayed by the number of flashes as well as the speed of the flashes.

For example, an ECU showing no recorded faults will display code 55. The first digit is shown as 5 followed by a pause. This then followed by the second digit. This is shown as 5 short flashes. Thus Code 55 - all clear.

Listed below are the fault codes for the skyline

    Important note:

Please take care if your going to carry out any such diagnostic procedure on your car and understand that this information is provided in good faith and we can accept no responsibility for any accidents, errors or inaccuracies should you decide to follow any of the information provided here. although it did work fine for me and after finding three fault codes and fixing them my skyline has never gone better. So good luck with this and just make sure you take caution when working out which ports to bridge i just faced mine upright and bridged the left hand bottom two and it worked first shot.

Check these out with a black grill would like better than angel eyes. been thinking of similar thing for my triumph as i've seen sets on ebay go for 200nzd with full hid light units. just jewel cut lenses look way better and arent to "Blingy"

  6. Hey got a bit of second hand knowledge for you that may be useful the company i work for uses merc vans we also have a v8 supercar mechanic working for us he's fitted the sway bars from the longest heaviest merc in the same series his van is shall we say terrifying to be a passenger in it grips insanely well and doesnt roll. if you beefed up your bars and maybe some quality shocks in the back to tame the bounce you should be pretty happy.

  7. So finally got some time to attack the clearance issues i had in the front since fitting new mags. pulled struts out raised the spring perch on a spare pair i had and swapped em over.

    p1010045ew.jpg

    p1010044sz.jpg

The tyre was rubbing on the spring before so its way better could go to 20" wheels now..... Dont worry i'm not going too.

Oh and took three coils out of front springs still needed spring compressors to get them back in is 60mm lower now . Going to lower back a bit more after beach hop once i get adjustable swing arm mounts in.

Bastard thing is now i have found the front suspension has been machined slightly fucked from new causing the whole tyres rubbing issue on the front right,

Shims have it solved for now but will look for a better casting.

My old hot wires are also getting a refurb and polish up and being kept as backup wheels.

  8. a long length of pipe can crackle a bit sometimes and sound a bit shit (Think noisy harley with straight pipes engine braking). bargain muffler you can get is a hsv rear muffler big flow on a smaller engine really cut noise down most exhaust shops have a stash of them out back they will part with one for next to nothing should tone it down nicely without being dead quiet. above all cheap!

  9. So slowly started working on my clubman again and have found the only salvagable panel forward of the doors is the front right guard. The car has been in a decent smack and poorly repaired it needs alot of work to fix it and pieces have been chopped out and holes bogged over scary shit. fortunately the rest of the car is pretty straight and not rusty. has anyone picked the front off a clubman before?

    Advice wanted

Haha i guess there is a little bit of wanting to build the car that i had 10 years ago again. Used to own a Purple mk1 with a very serious pi engine in it 16" roh zs wheels Lock diff big brakes was a absolute monster of a car and i got in a lot of trouble in it .... was awesome,

  11. Few things done lately wof reg been main things Tracked down some S model goodies steering wheel and dash much more luxo.

got some new wheels for my birthday from the mrs Stoked car drives so much better bit of work to get em on front but was worth it the old 13" wheels were scary in the wet so they had to go trendy or not i take my kids in it so safety is first.
