@bonkas you could try this out, it looks simple enough:

heya team,
I'm currently preparing my car for it's tune, just want people to check over the specs and see if there's anything else I should think of? Trying to build a reliable vehicle rather than something with heaps of power... Anyway here's the specs:
4g63bt - fresh rebuild - ACL bearings etc.
Going to run in on dyno with Motul 10w40 mineral & going to be running Motul V300 10w40 for the rest of tune
Tuning on 98 Gull Force10
Balance shafts machined/weights removed
Multipoint intake manifold - 62mm throttle body
800cc Denso injectors - probably overkill, ordered 650's and they sent me the wrong ones
SARD adjustable fuel reg
Bosch 044 fuel pump
TD05 16g - rebuilt & balanced
38mm GFB external wastegate
3 port MAC valve for boost control
GFB Hybrid BOV
Bosch HEC715 coils
Microtech X4 igniter
NGK BP7ES Plugs
105amp alternator
Water to air intercooler setup
60mm half size radiator
New heavy duty clutch
May have missed some things, but any recommendations would be great- 1

The usual Sigma/Cordia/Starion import engine will have 110kw, redline 6k.

What boss kit did you use?
-
Yeah within 150mm of hinges will fail, unfortunately! Doors on these cars are prone to rust
-
Doors shouldn't affect WOF as long as the rust isn't around the hinges. Good to see another Mirage getting some TLC!

@frogwhitt yeah that's what I want to avoid, measuring up I could see no way a full rad was gonna fit. I've seen that V6 MKII mirage and they cut the front up a lot to fit a full-width radiator which I wasn't a fan of.
-
@frogwhitt I'm looking to do the same conversion, sohc 4g63T into mirage with supershift box, what did you do with the radiator situation? I was thinking of running an alloy honda radiator, thoughts?

Cheers Tai!
jack just the hatch? Any other panels? -
I'm looking at replacing the doors on my '82 Mitsi Mirage 4Dr Hatch (original shaped Mirage) & I've some doors off a Mirage II sedan, does anyone know if they'll fit? Visually they don't look any different, but I'm unable to view them in person due to distance (I'm in Kaitaia, doors are near Taupo).
Cheers

Ok cool thanks for the feedback!
I might just get a can made up and give it a go on some of the small hidden area's I'm wanting to paint and see what the results like and got from there!Any recommended places to get a better quality paint from?
-
Howsit,
Just wondering if anyone has tried the SCA's Lyndar paint system to colour match with their factory paint colour, and if it was fairly accurate?
Cheers

Howzit Forum,
I have a set of 13x5.5 JJ Cheviot Hotwires, but I am unsure of the offset? They're RWD that's all I know, would anyone know off hand what they are?
I had them on my Mirage, but they stuck out at the front with it being FWD, wouldn't really be worth doing flares, spacing the rear and getting a cert just for the wheels would it?
Tryna look for some similar style wheel for it but no luck so far
Cheers

bro would you have any of the chrome surrounds from the original wheels, I'm missing one and a centre cap, would be mad to have the stock wheels cleaned up with the chrome surrounds until I can find a decent set of wheels for it
-
Well I found one of those blow thru tubro mirage on trademe but it had been engine swapped to a 4g13, I'm going to do some hunting around for a FWD simga turbo setup or parts.
Does anyone have any ideas about the legality of widening the stock steelies, they would look sick with some dish, and where I should look to get the work done?
-
It already has the super shift gearbox in it on the 4g11
would be mad to drop a 4g63 sohc in this little car, just for a bit of fun, but would that work with the supershift?
-
Cheers Tai I think I might get a donor car for some extra parts, do you know what engines can be swapped into these things? Using the Supershift gearbox if possible, that gives this little car some character!

Hello Forum!
I have recently acquired an old '82 Mitsubshi Mirage, straight as a ruler, owned by one elderly lady from new, only just rolled over the 100,000km mark 3000km ago.
I was wondering if there was anything I could do with its 4G11 carbureted engine or anything else to make it a bit more responsive, it's completely stock so far, but it would be a cool little beach cruiser for summer and it's a 4 door!
I've already installed a decent sound system in it and the interior is immaculate so nothing needs to be done inside.
I did pick up a set of 13" Cheviot Hotwires but they were the wrong offset for it since it is FWD so it wouldn't pass a WoF with the front treads passing the guards.
Any ideas would be appreciated
Cheers!

Having an issue with the starter not lining up with the current flywheel/ring gear.
I think it's an Evo 1-3 flywheel, ring gear is 106 tooth, 245mm ID, 271mm OD.
Read in other posts about people changing the ring gear but I think they must be using a different flywheel?
Have determined that the ring gear needs to be 282mm OD.
Any help would be appreciated
