i really want to track down my old car and buy it back and i always have the bad feeling someone will have destroyed it. 

Black rocker cover with red writing. Was yours a GTxx? This has a hybrid turbo, VJ20 compressor housing, not sure of exhaust housing. Apexi AFC Neo air/fuel computer, GReddy Profec B-Spec boost controller too.

Four months later, the car is alive again..

The meet would, of course, include stopping for lunch and a couple brews at a local pub somewhere around the area..

So, instead of the usual monthly meet this month/next month, I have decided it's about time we had a joint meet with the Welly guys! (And anyone else that feels like making the trip) like Pongaroa a couple of years ago.

Looking at possibly driving from Palmy to Masterton, then from there to the beach at Castle Point. Currently wanting to see who would be interested in doing this on a weekend late Nov/early Dec, and when people could make it.

Weigh in, guys!

Been talking to a couple of cats and looking into doing an end of year weekend meet with a bit of a drive over to Masterton, meet up with some of the Wellington area guys there, and then shoot over to Castle Point to the beach. Would have to find a pub out those ways to get a feed at, too. There's that or the possibility of an overnight stop at a bach out at the Riversdale beach (also about an hour out of Masterton).

I have decided this month's meet will be at Tasty House on Rangitikei St. This is a Korean Japanese fusion restaurant.

Park in Briscoes car park at 6.30 and wander over for dinner at 7.

Hey guys, this month's meet will be on Thursday the 29th at the Bunnythorpe Tavern!

Plenty of parking outside, park and yarn and then head in for a feed.

The Charade has officially been demoted to project car.

Was overtaking, heard a bang, lost a cylinder and there was massive pressure in the cooling system. It'll be going in the shed and the motor will be coming apart. While I'm at it I will strip the interior out, as it will become a weekend/track day car.

Also very keen to see how the Speeduino works out. Looks like a great, cheap alternative to a Megasquirt for basic applications.

These things are awesome. Guy here at work has a stripped out modified one that he uses as a track car. Love the 3 banger sound.

Man that speeduino thing is neat. I didn't understand the idea until I saw the prices- pretty bloody good value! I guess it's filling the position MS used to have

The Arduino clone and bluetooth chip (so I can monitor temps etc with phone) cost me $30 shipped from Trade Me. Now it's just cost of components, cost of the board, solder etc, and time. Oh and I plan to design a case for it and get it 3D printed by someone local with a 3D printer, too. Ideally it should be around the $200 mark finished. Will probably be more, but at least I can trickle the money into it instead of having to throw $1000 at a Link ECU.
