actually i took the heater matrix out also, for some reason. a/c was dead but heater was still good.
i think the easiest solution is just to use the factory housing minus a/c evap and plug any holes or gaps.

cowl air inlet->blower (i presume with an integrated fresh air/recirc valve)-> a/c->heater->air distribution thingy->ducts?
i just took the a/c evaporator/piping out and plugged them then put back in its place.
its p10 though.

Measured from top of arch as far as I know. Won't be many arches that don't curve inward. This part of the PDF covers bolt on flares, but if if you just have unmodified body, then measure the same way and should be good. I'm sure Clint will confirm yeah / nah.
https://www.lvvta.org.nz/documents/infosheets/LVVTA_Info_05-2020_Tyre_Track_Protrusion.pdf
this one shows factory body better vs tyre tread, only shows front/back profile with top of arch used as reference
Unless it was posted by someone you know isn't an idiot... then take with salt. Front guards for example tend to just bolt on, so I can't see how they would link that to being structural.
That said, people will probably ruin guard rolling too, by taking the piss and they will have to bring in rules.
Had to flare mine to get enough clearance through full suspension travel for my cert. Didn't even come up as a mention when I explained how I got the clearance. Double skin in rear of mine so fold it over doesn't really change much. Front couldn't do much as bolt on single skin so weak as fuck arch.
that second link from NZTA talks about tyre load and speed ratings suitable for the vehicle but do tyres on the same axle have to have matching ratings? it doesn't seem to mention it, so just to be sure. i mean, i'm guessing most tyres for typical passenger cars would have the ratings well above the required load and speed.

semi-related, how much of the guard has to cover over the tyre/wheel for it to be legal. most guards are widest at the top and tapers in down at sill level?

plenty of p10 on FB marketplace. most you see on the road in decent shape seem to have nzppcc sticker on them, so i don't know they change hands within club.

A mate of my dad's worked at a Standard Triumph dealership back in the day. They also serviced Jaguars. He reckoned certain parts were interchangeable between the two but the genuine Jaguar parts cost four times as much the exact same thing in a Standard Triumph box.
speaking of which, mk3 mondeo shares some parts with jag x type. ridiculous thing is jag guys can get the shared parts but ford says no longer available. i think i bought a couple different stuff from independent jag parts people up north.

how much better is 156 over 155. had a great fun. surprisingly the only fault was dodgy fuel gage, one of the few cars i regret selling on. the only reason was i couldn't be bothered to do the cambelt every a couple of thousand km...

back on topic, w10 was (still is, if a tidy one can be found, im sure ) quite nice and handy wagon.
mine was non intercooled diesel.

maybe it's the hawera price.

I am looking for a manual p10 parts car if one comes up
that looks like a parts car (not sure if i'm convinced the seller's description of "but I know it's hard to find a p10 this tidy" though lol... but the price is ono.
the one thing i really hate about p10 is its power window switches, if you want to open/close all 4 at once, you gotta use both hands and left hand open wide with fingers stretched... otherwise it's fine.
i've been making a list of pros and cons list of all the cars i've owned so maybe i can build a perfect car (for me) one day, i gotta get back to that list.

No license requirement for a classic car?

in certain context, lime scooters on a footpath are far more dangerous than say a moderately looked after p10.
seen some with absolutely bald tyres
