  1. There's a Marina Coupe rolling shell on Trademe in Chch, could build a TC replica from that.  Shouldn't be impossible to find the necessary bits...

Oh man, wish i had a garage to make that my project. Still a year or two off being able to take something like that on :(

If i got one in that shape it sure wouldnt be a TC rep i would build. Always wanted to put something like a beams 3sge in one (or back when i had my Marina, a 4age).

  2. Mazda rotary life. Or Honda life. I don't think its the fact the Renesis is lacking torque but more that its a Rotary in a heavier car.  To me its why these engines suit smaller lighter cars. Or like you say, supercharging them. But then its not the clean simple uncluttered N/A engine anymore.

Need more Renesis powered NC MX5s...

  3. Ill be following this thread closely. Will be in the market for a cover soon too. Will be used during the week, car will be used weekends but it lives outside with no option of a carport or shelter (rental) but will be on a concrete pad. It also needs to withstand some wind, being welly. Car will be regularly polished, but i dont want to damage the paint too much. Mainly just want to keep the sun off the paint so it doesnt fade/peel, and keep the pine needles from fucking everything like usual.

  4. Warehouse Stationary has some pretty sweet deals on label makers for the next day or two.

That Rhino one on Amazon seems like an awesome machine, but no direct shipping to NZ, and you'd need to check the availability of the tapes.

  5. This POS has been lurking at work.

This lives local to me.... and has done so twice. I swear its actually following me. Seen it parked up for months, and then one day it was gone. Was gutted, thinking they had sent it to scrap or something, but sure enough a month or so later its back again. Stoked!

What'd they have done? Looked like it was surround with various gearbox bits for a while there.

  6. Expensive to fix when they inevitably end up on the back of a flatbed, expensive to service and reliability is questionable... but in saying that, brutal power, lush comfort and a sound that makes all the issues no longer matter. Get a warranty, make sure it covers everything (including airmatic shocks) and drive the pants off it.
