I liked my alloytech VZ wagon, more than enough poke to keep it interesting but was really good on the open road. Mine did have some issues though, and it had over 200,000km of fleet use. Trans shifted pretty harsh sometimes. Oil pressure sender failed, and post cat O2 sensor kept tripping CEL.

Ill be running fuel only using an 8 tooth trigger in a distributor, on a V8. Will work happily, but will not have enough resolution to run spark reliably.

Wow, those old British beasts in Temuka have been there for many years, i remember them before i moved, about 10 years ago and they didnt look much different. If anything, its gained a few cars.

Looks like someone messed up the cert tag? 2L 12a, no wonder it goes hard
Funny, so legally you cannot refit a bonnet to the car. Never seen that on a cert before.

Megasquirts have an auto-tune function if you buy the software, which is about $30 I think.
$60USD atm, plus extra to register MegalogViewer.

Or look into Speeduino

oh that silver Canadian FD is a good looker.

And all my spares are now gone. Look forward to seeing others progressing with Speeduino too.

about $150 or so at a guess, with all the components from digikey. i did buy in bulk. Can probably get the components cheaper elsewhere, but digikey is easy.
I also went a bit overkill, adding bluetooth, and a VR conditioner (wanted to cover all my bases). Also keep in mind that for best result you will need to buy registered versions of tuner studio and mega log viewer. Itll work on the free ones, but missing some key features (like auto tune).

What is the boot like? Sometimes leaking tail lights will let water into the boot which then trickles down across the boot and under the rear seat to the footwells.
My integra did this. Leaked through the tail light seals, filled the spare wheel well and when i braked it would slosh over into the foot wells. Also check anywhere there is seam sealer that is exposed to the elements, it can sometimes crack and seep water in.

Anyone want to buy a Speeduino 0.3.3 board or two? I ordered spares, and have a couple left. Will let them go for what they cost me, $25 including postage. Does not include components or Mega, just the board. Pm me.

Get some carbon vinyl for some bling, or just spray on a really thick layer of plasti-dip.
The proper 3M paint protection film seems to work really well, but its not cheap.

Still wish i didnt sell mine so early, it'd be worth a good few grand more than i sold it for now.
Love the S50 engines, such linear power.

Never noticed the weird port spacing on the VVTI heads. This is a pretty sweet project.

That OG Racing Beat front strut brace is awesome. Looks like a really tidy car, shame about the auto though.

Oh yeah e30 yes it's my Chaser on Trademe, I've been advertising it for 3-4 months now. I've had heaps of interest but not one has actually come to check it out. I've dropped the price a couple of times even though multiple people have said the old price was good and better than others on the market.
I'm guessing people are scared of the high km's, I daily drove it for 4 years and it drives like a new one. But people are still stuck in the way of thinking the a car can't do more than 100,000km I suppose.
The leaky valve stem seals wont be helping either (can see it puffing smoke in the video when you get on throttle). Sucks that the JZ suffer from that issue.

Super cool. My boss was watching this on TM, and being a Heron himself it would have been appropriate, but he has too many toys as it is. Keen to see how this turns out.

What an epic road trip, and what a car to do it in. A++ would read again.

If anyone is interested, i have started a project with a Speeduino DIY ECU. I have finished assembling it, have fitted Bluetooth and all loaded and connecting to Tunerstudio. Im really impressed with the capabilities of it so far, and its being almost constantly developed.

I havent got a car to put it in yet, but if i play my cards right the car i want will fit in well here.
