  1. And finally some etch primer before the sun disappears
  2. I have machined off the filler cap hole and paint strippered off the powder coating...
  3. Had my friendly alloy welding guy do some mods for me. The dry sump i got was a full trough type. I knew it wouldn't clear the crossmember but it was the right price, so I had it modified to fit. At the same time I had him weld up the filler hole and a breather hole in the rocker cover as I won't be needing either of those.
  4. More goodies arrived yesterday from the UK. Started fitting them last night.
  5. XxxxHad to find another oil filter as the Ford Motorsport one was showing its age.... It's destiny is now in my model cabinet...
  6. With all the new liners fitted. Next step is to Devcon fill to just below the frost plugs.
  7. As I have had a few more parts turn up for the engine I thought I'd pay the engine builder a visit... here are a few more offerings to the good of speed...
  8. Some more Sunday evening plumbing pics... have now run all the necessary hoses through the interior. Boot is almost finished. Just awaiting the oil cooler arriving and I can wrap up the engine bay.
  9. Decided while I had it out for the last time it needed a quick polish.
  10. Now that the fuel system is 99 % done, it's time to carry on with the dry sump plumbing. Started by mounting the tank.
  11. Only need one more Dash 6 fitting and we're done !
  12. Trying to finish off the fuel system this afternoon. Made up the fuel filter mount on the back of the pump box and plumbed it all in.
  13. Evening all, small steps this weekend. Mounted the remote oil filter , I scored this while working in the Uk. It's a genuine magnesium remote filter block from a works Ford Escort Cosworth. Needs a new filter as this one has just been sitting in storage and ironically is starting to rust..
  14. Evening peeps, started on the dry sump plumbing tonight. 1st hose made up. Too cold in the shed to do anymore tonight..
  15. Cheers to all the guys and gals following this.. It's amazing what you can get back as hand luggage.. Big cheers to Conrad (Browndog) for bringing these goodies back for me. Hopefully this is all I'll need for plumbing the dry sump system.
  16. Bit more progress today. Welded in the threaded inserts into the seat mounts this afternoon.. not much to show but another job done.
  17. A little bit of fettling last night and hey presto. It fits !
