Hi there, I own a 1987 GX71 Cresta with TEMS suspension all round, I am looking for more low in the front and want to get my front inserts shortened but I dont wanna go chopping up my fairly rear TEMS struts, So will gx71/mx73 inserts fit my struts or is there any other options? Cheers.

Yes it was, yup its still on the rota's.. working on a few other bits and pieces before i fork out for some ssr mk3's.. Hmmm might invest on a trd upgrade then is there any other options?
-
Ill try sort some shims to go with it, I dont really feel like forking out $800 for a trd one :/

Hi there, I own a gx71 toyota cresta (Super Lucent, Exceed 24V DOHC) witch come factory automatic and has been later converted to manual using a w55 gearbox. My question is what diff will this be running? It revs out at around 3750 at 100km/h so im guessing it still has the automatic diff in it. I cant find any information on the diff itself only a very faint stamp on the bottom of it that seems to resemble a 'T' but it has IRS and as far as I know T series diffs only come setup for a solid rear end? Im looking to swap this old diff out for something LSD so any suggestion of what might fit would also be good. Cheers Scott

Sweet as thanks for that, what else would be involved in manual conversion? will I need a new master cylinder? Cheers

HI there, Looking at buying a 1982 S110 Nissan Silvia for a new project. Unfortunately it has the 3spd auto box. Dont know alot about these cars so my question is what gearbox was used/will fit with the Z20 engine. Also is it a hydro or cable clutch setup? Cheers

How's it, just thought I would start a build post to try get some motivation to get stuff done! So yea I own a 1980 jap import EX Lancer, bought it a year or so back pretty standard just lowered. Keep it the way it was for a while until I picked up full time work, now I have some 0 offset 15x6.5 mesh wheels that I'm in the process of polishing and paint and just bought a sohc 4g62t out of a GSR Cordia to put in it. So have a lot on to try work around a full time job. I will get some pictures up later on tonight
-
Hmmm that's got me thinking if only I could find a good 62t or a 63t without paying the price of a evo 3 engine :/ your saying 200 shipped to Nelson for a 32t is to much? Turbo is on the exhaust side. Cheera
-
Talking about a 32t, only because if found a nice cheap one. Alright in quite certain they used the same starter motor so should suit flywheel u could always strip the one off my n/a 4g32 ivguess
-
Sweet so it should bolt up to my standard 5 spd? Cheers
-
Hi, I am looking into buying a g32b turbo engine out of a GSR Cordia for my 1980 Ex Lancer with a n/a g32b. My question is will this turbo g32b bolt upto my standard 5spd gearbox or is it a wideblock engine meaing ill need a starion/sigma turbo gearbox? Cheers Scott
-
And are they hot or cold setting cheers
-
Sorry to dig up a fairly old post but just to clarify is .15 inlet and .25 exhaust for the sohc g32b? Cheers
-
Sweet cheers man after a bit of mucking around I eventually found it.

Hi guys, My boot got broken into a while back and I have finally found a boot lock with a working key I want to put in but I am completely stuck as how I remove it? Any help much appreciated. Cheers Scott

From the gap, It never used to do this and I dont think I have every heard of a head loosening but I will check before replacing gasket.

So we took the ex out last weekend for a road test, The leak stops once it reaches running temp, drove around all day coolant level did not move neither did the temp gauge. Got a mirror down the fire wall definitely looks like it coming from the head not a frost plug :/
-
If it is the frost plug, What would be the easyest way to get it out? quite a tight squeeze between the firewall and engine
-
I can squeeze the top radiator hose and it starts leaking quite quickly if that helps
-
I had a good look last weekend and it seems to be leaking from the bung in the block were they extract the sand after casting? Guess it time for the 4g63t conversion
