It would sometimes run but then drop a cylinder and pop and bang and then not start even tho it had spark, it wouldn't rev past idol, the distrubtor doesn't have pick ups like a normal one but spring loaded carbon brushes that run on the rotor witch is a disk with another spring loaded contact in the center, I spent about 12 hours trying to get this system to work, sometimes it would work well for 15 mins and then engine would cut out and not start, I was riding around the grave roads in woodhill today for a long time and it didn't miss a beat.

Is the bolt pattern for the flywheel flange on a 305 Chevrolet the same as a 308 Holde?
