I see the new 'BSA's are coming to NZ

It looks like someone forgot to fit the carburetor and bolted the airfilter to the head and when they were inflating the tire it leaked into other parts of the bike and then got rear ended by a truck and some bicycle parts fitted

I tapped lots of chewed out alloy threads on the ironhead to metric coarse.
Seemed to go ok, but it's a pin in the hole having to use metric and imperial tools...I have tapped all the drain plugs on my ironhead to metric because some monkeys stripped them

that was my thoughts. same method. the 5degrees of pitch angle difference between whitworth and metric/imperial wont matter and will screw in. might be more luck with a 1/2" over 12mm in brass.
1/2 UNC might bite into the alloy better?

Best fix is old school. Tap it 12mm and make up a brass insert 12 on the OD, 8mm on the inner. Put a drop of Loctite on it when the bush goes in.
I could use a brass bolt and screw it in, they sell silicon bronze bolts but they are super hard.

my Dum and Dummer stretch bike ran well all day, it was getting slower but that was the outer throttle cable slipping in its clamp, I could blow the rotory away.

Sounds like Bruce - but he's more likely to break down because he replaced a high tensile bolt with a coach bolt.
The tractor PTO clutch plates he found in a bin were playing up

Minibike drags today, I am taking the stretched bike, I really hope people are not going to take this event seriously

Nope. Which is kind of weird as you can't read speedo at night without a light
Has to have high beam light and something to tell you the indicators are on, that's it
He must of been checking with his boss and when they sed its ok he just gapped it

Are dashboard lights a wof requirement? I got pulled over the other night for a routine stop and the cop started going off about the dash lights, I was going to show him how there is a factory switch to turn them up and down and off but he went back to his car and then drove off

I can make you a port map from something I have here but you would need a sleve with no ports to start with as it needs an exhaust port bridge

Is there some sort of lyfe hack for getting paint off motorbike plastics? Or just good old fashioned sanding?
ALSO, has anyone had good results sanding/polishing scratches out of clear plastic windscreens or the like?
Petrol works if its just spray cans.
