  3. Great Val mate. We had one exactly like that new in OZ in 1968. Was my dads company car. Lots of great memories.
  4. oh yeah forgot about that. The escort sump is a rear bowl, whereas the mk1 /mk2 Cortina needs a front bowl sump. You will need to get a sump of a mk2 cortina, as the rear oil seal on the 711m block is a lip type seal, whereas the early cortinas used a rope seal. Much better arrangemant anyway cheers Ted
  5. crossflow exhaust is on the passenger side, no problems radiator support stays the same as the blocks are the same length. a 711m is about 10 mm wider across the block where the engine mounts bolt on, thus the mounts are a bit different.
