DXROLLA Posted January 19, 2016 Share Posted January 19, 2016 Well i have finally found myself another "oldschool" car. A 1983 VH commodore sl/x. Only 2 owners since new even still has the factory radio! Current reg and wof but unfortunately it broke the timing gear on the drive home Plans for it are, well obviously the mandatory v8 conversion, most likely a tickled 308 once i can find one. But in the short term i would like to get the old 202 going again just to keep the car on the road while i build up a 308 and source all the parts i need. Started striping the engine down today to get the old cam out and turns out it probably needs a lot more work than i thought, water pump needs doing, radiator is buggered, all hoses are starting to get perished, gaskets are looking tired as well.
