Callum Radford
Hey guys. My Corona has been in the shop for a while, and as I want a daily, I decided to get a KE70 wagon. A workmates son had two of them, one had been crashed into the rear, and one was a donar body, but both were live, and both were complete and pretty much running. The crashed one had a worked 4k in it, running on twin carbs, had adjusties, reset leaves, lovely looking modgies.... also had grey diesel front interior in it which was a bonus! But the best thing would have to be that everything was certed! As for the donar body, it wasn't the prettiest thing, but I needed the body, and it had a few decent bits on it! I got both cars for $500 You can see that the blue wagon has seen better days!
Callum Radford
Next thing I did, was to make both cars one. This was done in very legal ways, so don't get all suspicious I paint stripped the grey shell after stripping it down. Three 2l cans of paint stripper later and the paint finally came off, this stuff was some thick shit! After a sand up, the engine bay was painted, and the adjusties and engine was swapped over. She ran pretty much straight away with no hiccups, was stoked! Also got some 14x7 SSR MK1s for her to sit pretty on
Callum Radford
After that. I played around with some of my flat front parts, tossing up how I wanted the front end looking, also swapped over the rear suspension!
Callum Radford
Next up, I began repearing rust, which popped up along side the roof lines the not so rusty looking shell was hiding some dark secrets, all the shit that comes with owning Toyotas though! Also saw this picture which got me thinking.....
Callum Radford
As with many KE70 owners, the twin headlight conversion sounded and looked really good, but the price at which it was going to cost me was ridiculous! So I settled on a swap for a factory recess front two door wagon for my old mk2 wagon. I got it for mainly the front panels, but also scored some interior goodies, and have since sold it on. The two door wagon did not include any lights, grill etc, but I found some for cheap locally. Also got an additional two recess light/grill setups haha. Then the idea of running an AE86 bumper!! I fell in love when I saw the picture, and I knew I had to do it, its different and that's what I love! So I found an AE86 bumper for $150 and grabbed it. I sat it on to see what it looks like and I was happy with it!
Callum Radford
In order to get this sitting right, the guards had to be cut and a lip was welded onto them (don't cry all you twin headlight feigns, its worth it!) So this was the result after making a lip and screwing it on! Yet to be finished off, but you get the idea!
Callum Radford
Now, ive left out little bits and pieces, but this is pretty much all the progress upto now! I will endeavour to update you as I go from now on! So at the moment, the wagon is sitting like it is in the below pictures, the rust is getting repaired, and I will begin to prep the panels for paint. If youre wondering why there is only one door on the car, this is because I wanted to see how it would look - colour and trim wise. The wagon will be white, with black trim and black rubber strips. None of this chrome shit! Haha. Also, im building up a supercharged 4k. I have recently acquired an 4k efi setup to help run the supercharger, an SC14 which im getting cheap Its a big supercharger for a wee engine, but it'll work! I also have some more wheels coming 14x6.5 and 14x7 Weds Tri Spokes, cant wait for there arrival! Here are some pictures for you, will get some more this weekend! Cheers

Callum Radford
Got the windscreen out and started to fix rust around the top of the windscreen, also continued repairing rust along the roofline. The rust is getting less and less which makes me happy also scored myself some twin heady taillights, they aren't in the best condition, but they'll come up good with some paint! Will post some more pictures tomorrow of all the repairs Also please ignore the disgusting dumpy in the picture, it will be replaced by something much nicer Cheers
Callum Radford
Got some more rust along the roofline fixed, only a few wee patches left to repair now! Also scored this green scuttle panel thanks to WhangareiKE70! It is sooooo much more straighter than the one I had! Will get more pictures this weekend
Callum Radford
So the majority of the rust has been fixed, just one strip of metal to put down in the back where the tailgate rests on. Its pretty much just bogging and sanding now, then paint! I got my Weds Tri-Spokes yesterday, think I might run just the 7s on the front, they fill out the guards really nice, will be sweeter when I get some smaller tires, and put the 6.5s away for a rainy day, and keep the MK1s on the back, really want to swap them out for some 7" Hayashi Streets, maybe when its finished, im spending too much time worrying about wheels haha. I scored some roofracks too, you might only just be able to see them in the pics, so ill take some more photos later. Cheers

Callum Radford
Got a starter motor reconditioned, and the wagon is starting again which is a relief! Also applied some bog to fill in the repairs on the roof haha, looking kind of solid now! Just a few more coats in general areas and ill begin sanding for paint! Scored me some Work Equip 01s out of japan for cheap too, 13x7 -2 and 13.7.5 - 10 should have the wagon sitting pretty! Just a 6-8 week wait now haha, aiming to have the wagon done in time for there arrival. Also im not too sure whats happening with all the pictures
Callum Radford
The roof no longer contains rust! Just a little bit more sanding and the roof will be in primer After that there isn't a hell of a lot to do apart from sand! Also have a rust free drivers door lined up which makes me happy haha, so sick of rust! Also got a trueno front bumper apposed to the pfl Levin one I already have, but after purchasing it, I realised that trueno bumpers are a lot longer then the Levin ones, so the Levin bumper will be staying for now! Got a woodgrain nardi and a few little stickers etc too, love buying we bits and pieces for the wagon!
