Escortn
Hey all were trying to bleed the brakes on my brother's car. the ignition is on so that the abs pump is going, but it's not pressuring the lines and when you put your foot on the brake pedal it fills the reservoir up with fluid. We are getting fluid out of the calipers but is this reservoir filling up something to worry about? Frosty
You will find the ABS pump is full of air. Air can be compressed so when the ignition is turned off the air decompresses and the fluid returns to the master. If I remember correctly the solution is to use a pressure bleeder which forces the fluid through the system. A reverse bleed may work to. (pump fluid from the bleed nipple to the master).
