Interesting, the reason I ask is cos I have an MA motor with a strong bottom end but a fucked head, doesn't seem worth replacing it with a stock MA, and sounds like more effort/$ than I was hoping for to convert to twin cam/FE, unless I find an FE for a good price. Just didn't really want to "put a rotor in it ow"

I payed 150 for first motor and it stayed unopened with a new water pump and cam belt tensioner. Was never dynoed but is say it was about 160ish kw on 10psi you could build with Evo management and bolt ons for vry low price. What makes ya ma strong? What's factory compression of them? U running carbs ? I wouldn't bother with anything if your not thinking about efi.
