sholdowa
The power steering in the s-Cargo started playing up, so I thought I'd better take a look. Tightened the belt up a bit although it wasn't that slack. Fluid is really low and cloudy terracotta in colour. Pump is noisy although pumping well. Do I need to drain out the old fluid before topping up? Do you have to bleed the system? How??? Is the pump buggered??? Any info gratefully received... bubblegoose
the colour suggests either water in the fluid or lots of air bubbles, if the fluid was low it could have pumped it dry on full lock and got an airlock let it sit overnight if the colour goes back to normal its just air and top up as usual to bleed it jack the front up with engoine running and turn it lock to lock sveral times and keep an eye on the fluid level its its water then im stumped but i doubt it ps if its low you have a leak, you can get ps fluid with stop leak in which might help
