escorted
Bought this beast a year and a half ago off a guy who bought it for his son....but then didnt let him drive it! No rust, gutless 1300. Since then ive lowered it front and back on superlows and 2" blocks, put some tridents on it and put a basic sterio in it. After driving the 1300 around for a while it was getting a bit tired so i ripped it out and yeap she was poked. piston slap. Naturally i binned it and picked up a 2l pinto with extractors, shaved head, really light flywheel, bigger pistons, single down draft twin choke carb and a mild cam. plus got a couple of type 9 sierra GB's. All set to drop it in.
escorted
UPDATE: slotted the engine in on the weekend after dicking about with the sump and mounts it fits nicely and weights down the front good and proper so it looks the nuts. Also found that my extractors that came with the engine dont clear my steering column so i splased on some good looking Cobys! escorted
Think i should update here. I Got the engine all hooked up and started it. It started first go which i was happy about but unfortunatly oil started to piss out of the rear crank seal so it was off with the GB and driveshaft and out with the gasket cement. After a day or two of dicking about with it i finally got it all back together and drove it up the street. Then i hear sirens.........the police stopped me for the fact that it had the bonnet off and the straight pipe was 'too noisy young man" FTP. Does anyone have one (linkage) or maybe point me in the direction on one?
