Requiemk
Discussion - //oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=10060 Hey guys, I decided on making a project thread as motivation has been running low on the 30 project, HOT weather + panel shaping is not ideal conditions to get my ass into gear. The start, Granddad bought this car new back in 1978 when it was first registered and handed down to me in 2001. During the years 2001 - 2006 it has been pretty much sitting in a garage as was uninterested. Finally realising cars are awesome I thought it was about time I getting this car looking good again. In the current state of no front doors on it and multicolored it is far from bearable. Over the last few months general rust has been cut and plated out. The vinyl roof which was in way of much rust, mostly surface bust still there had to be removed. For good. Also got some modgies which was an impulse buy sitting in the garage. Dont think they will ever hit the car so theyre on trademe. Hopefully I will try to do make some progress each day. Requiemk
Update!!!! Body Front and back window are out in preparation for paint. The rolla has been fully de rusted/primer/filled smooth so is ready soon for teh paint. Wheels I’ll running on Hoshino Impul G5's 14x7. Tyre wise it depends on what’s out there im after a 165-175 55 profile tyre or something close to. If centers can be flipped flares will be used to keep them inside the guard Suspension Sending away front springs/shocks/ leafs to archers in Rotorua to accommodate a 3.5" to 4" drop. My only problem is bump stops I’m thinking of just going for a 2inch leaf reset so I have the travel in the back for warrants. Or just go for full 3.5†
Requiemk
Painter won’t be able to do it for a month so ill guess i have to wait but gives me time to get it flares on and interior done. Took dash off to paint it/install alarm easier. It Will be cunt to get back on i think. Bought me worked 4k block , lumpy cam, rebored, lightened flywheel, new heavy duty clutch, new water pump, oil pump etc.. Was to cheap to pass up but am now thinking i cant just put a standard head on so looks like ill be buying a die grinder and doing some porting/polishing. Also got center console, new guard, chrome window sill trims and other random accessories Am also waiting on wheels even though i have been told there not real 2 piece and cant be flipped im going to try. If true, TradeMe I think. engine http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa28 ... 1Small.jpg http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa28 ... 3Small.jpg http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa28 ... 2Small.jpg http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa28 ... 4Small.jpg and random pics from night, flash is surprisingly good

Requiemk
http://img160.imageshack.us/img160/8297 ... opywu9.jpg Haha thought i wold spend 10minutes quickly mocking this up before sleep tonight and wtf took me 1 1/2 hours.. dont quite got the hang of all the photoshop techniques, still figuring things out the paint way. Anyway dont want to be faggot but after seeing lofreq's paint design im not keen on painting my car flat colour. would look mean with some strip effect to it. Going to look through all my boso pics for inspiration. Probably not the right type of car? opinions?
