  1. So have come across this pretty straight looking l200 with no rust ( a little in the door ) that i have started making plans for. As it sits it has no engine or gearbox so i have decided to fit a RB22DET 5 Speed to it and see how she goes. Interested to hear peoples views on this and here to get some great advice at the same time. Keen to keep costs down and ideally looking to keep the swap fairly straight forward. But a 2 liter and extra power would be nice. 4G61/4G62/4G63 ????? Any advice on engine upgrades/swaps??

Welcome to my first ever post on ANY forum so please excuse any mistakes I may make(hopefully none) I'll like to document my(very slow) build on my 1982 EX Mitsubishi Lancer I bought this car off my boss as a crashed, green stickered, no rego'd car they had left it to sit underneath a few trees at their house and I said time to give her up Scott(my boss' name) so he finally gave in and sold it to me. $800 later which i was happy with So hopefully it will end up how I invision and hopefully with a fair bit of help along the way from you lot Here is the car how I bought it.

So here I begin. //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/47814-dannybattie-1973-colt-1600-discussion/ This little beastie was a little neglected on the side of the road and so I decided to rescue her. She is mostly original. I'm gradually fixing her up. Gearbox is freshly refurbished with an extra 5th gear. The Green Machine interior is good and the engine (1600 Saturn 4G32) is running fairly well from what I can tell. While I'm sure the purists out there will be disappointed, I am looking for parts/advice on simple and cost effective: Motor upgrade (extra power) Lowering kit/parts Lock or tight diff Any other bolt on upgrades Any feedback, comments, parts, motors etc is most welcome
  5. Hi guys, Hopefully someone can help me. I have a 1988 Starion widebody with the larger euro-spec fog lights in the bumper. The foglight button on the instrument cluster isn't wired up, the foglights themselves only activate when the headlights are switched to high-beam, regardless of weather the foglight button is pressed or not. What am I looking at in terms of difficulty for wiring up those fog-lights so that they activate solely when the foglight button is activated? The park-lights (which are part of the same unit) light up when the park-light button is switched on - so hopefully the wiring is there and can easily be utilised. Also, I am after amber lightbulbs for both the headlights and foglights too if anyone knows where to get those. Thanks!
  6. This week I took leave of my sences, and bought a fucking mitsubishi. It was cheap, not running, and seemed to have low kms. Got it running tonight, and guess what? It blows blue. It had 90,000kms put on it by some 90 years old. So it probably has glazed as fuck bores/mitsubishi oil rings are shit. My plan is to fill it up with stop smoke, try get a wof, and let my Mum drive it while I take her volvo off the road to fix it. Then sell it quick snap! I've always used Lucas, or Moorey's heavy duty oil stabiliser. But since we're talking about a rubbish fire on wheels here, (aka a mitsi) I'd like to hear what others have found works good. Is motor up worth trying? (Do they even sell it still?) Discuss!

    LB Lancer help!

    I have a LB Lancer that I'm doing up, so far all I've done is lower it and start the process towards panel and painting it, and I came across these shocks on Trade-Me, whilst scouring for parts. I did a wee search and found something saying that Starion struts would fit into a LB Lancer, and I was wondering if anyone knows if these shocks here: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/mitsubishi/suspension/auction-579761538.htm would be a good replacement for my tired old one's. They are pretty captive still though.

  9. Ok ok i know we call them station wagons i was just trying to be flash its original condition inside, the outside has the mitsi blue paint fuckup and a couple of dents, not really major tho. Done 170km and not used fuckall the last couple of years. Motor seems ok but the carb isnt opening the secondary's which makes it a bit sluggish. Does anyone know of a easy way to fix that?? Gonna keep an eye on the oil consumption for a couple of days and maybe use the motor to get my white L300 going. If it does use oil ill just keep it for a few weeks till i get my van back and then sell it. Considering cutting the springs as well. Ive got spare front springs here but i need some spare rears if anyones got them or knows of any to fit in Would lancer ones fit or be too small?
