  1. She's now up for sale if anyone is interested in an awesome wagon to do a bit of touring! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =462445349
  2. So Lately its been a bit of a overhaul on the old girl. I recently moved to Dunedin where the cold will freeze your ass off, and also the poor old motor. It was already having a bit of trouble starting in the rain, due to a pretty corroded distributor cap. So i thought id go and freshen her all up. Now has a new: -Distributor cap -Points -Condenser -Plug Leads ( hard to find for this engine apparently) -New gaskets all round ( the old head was starting to go from some long drives) -Spark Plugs -Radiator ( cost an arm and a leg about 400, big for a student) -Water Pump -Fan Belt -Four brand spanker tyres. Beaurepairs had a good deal of buy 3 get one free, so took them up on the offer. Me and my grandad spent a good few solid days getting it all in, and adjusting the timing, so shes running better than ever, and starting first pop on even the coldest days down here. Maybe second every now and again. But overall so much happier with how its running. Also have put tints on, for added privacy when im lugging some expensive shit around. Also spent hours making a wooden rear floor, to stop scratching and therefore eventual rust. Made some sweet templates, and cut it in two pieces, and used a router and a jig i made to cut some lines in the ply so it looked like a deck. Yet to give it a sand and a stain, but at some stage this would make it look even better. Few Pics of it lately: WC-KID
  3. Cheers, yeah shes very tidy. Super stoked. At the moment it is my all of the above. Its my daily, and weekend cruiser, however considering making a removable bed system at some stage. Just wired in some component speakers in the front and a sub for the back, ready for the summer days cruising. Can't wait.
  4. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=30877 Discussion here, would like to hear anybody's thoughts, recommendations, and ideas regarding future. Am currently working on a nice plywood floor for the back. Have made templates for the wheel arches, and made a jig for a router, to cut some lines in to resemble a deck. Almost there, well chuffed with how it looks! Also is lower now than the photos, hopefully get some photos of it soon.
  5. Hi there, i am an avid reader of all the builds, and has inspired me to start on my own cars. I have recently picked up a 1989 Toyota hiace, the good old square shape that i love. Clean lines all round. It runs very well suprisingly, and has no rust at all, just a few extremely minor dots. So all in all a very sweet deal. Also managed to stumble across some 14x7 cheviot hotwires for it, never seen them in a 5x114.3 fitment before. Picked them up for a bargain. Also got my leaves reset in the back about 2 1/4 inch drop, probably going to need to go lower again at some point, wound the torsion bars fully down, then resplined them to get some extra drop.
