It's all right. Cheers though.

well not so much the "japanese" but more the "boy racer" lol
Will probably end up using him, as he was very helpfull with my last ke70.
Cheers about the adjustable's, opinion on cut springs and better shorter shocks?

Looking at the new diff today and trying to decide which route to go down for the suspension.
Really like the look and price and what i have read about hsd coilovers.
So get some Ae86 ones for it? (i have read the steering arms may need to be changed to work? Anything else? what about the back spring mounts?
OR cut the ke70 springs a little and get some heavy duty short stroke shocks??
Leaning towards the HSD's as long as i dont have to search the country for ae86 parts to make them work.
Also looking towards cressida front brake setup anybody know if these will be able to be adapted to the ae86/ke70.
Ke70 Discussion -
Nothings wrong with Danny or Marty, dads in the hot rod club with both of them, we just get the feeling he wouldn't want to do it, being japanese. will ask for sure when he comes around to check one of dads.

Didn't think the cert guys would be that strict on stretched tyres. Might have to see what the cert man i decide on using says after i widen the rims.
Anyone have any experiences with the certifier from levin? dont want to use either of the two palmy guys.

why 225/40/14's? is that the lowest profile you can get for 14's?
-
Not really "renderings" as such done with Photoshop from lots of images.
And yea i wish the sigma rims where 15's too, I have seen them welded inside blank 15x8 rim barrels before that you can buy from transport wholesale place, but im not sure if im keen on 15's on the corolla or 14's

Yea the irs in the rear. Gives amazing camber. Not really much happening with it, just driving it all over the country. I think I must be sinking lower on the chopped springs as speed bumps are leaving some big scrapes underneath now. That or I'm finding taller speedbumps. Front spoiler should be nearly finished. Just waiting for the fibreglasser to drop it off.

was going to use Howat engineering or Juniors Kustoms in wieelington, both around $80 per wheel.
Whats the place in Wanganui? do they do a good job?
-
so decided to go with the link computer, invest for the future instead of trying to get the original ecu working.
Decided to go with some independent throttle bodies.
Got some silvertop itb's thanks to Fliboi.
My Personal Pattern Maker (father) is keen to make some Beams to 4age itb manifolds out of cast aluminum.
this will also allow more room for the clutch master cylinder, and the brake master, not that it really needs it.

Won't be doing skids in this one (well not often) so Dosnt have to be bulletproof. Just a reliable daily that can fly past others on the open road.
Really just asking as have heard of guys around palmy snapping axels frequently with there jz turbos.
Cheers guys

sweet thanks and yes NZ new. do they have a tag on the diff or something? never noticed one before, Really keen to keep it as its so nice to drive, but have noticed the diff has been a little loose lately, but hopefully its nothing a altezza lsd cant fix.

Looking at drooping a 1uzfe auto or a 2jzge auto in the 1985 cressida when the corolla is road legal.
But not to sure if it is worth doing as the diffs are so weak?
On the chassis plate on the firewall it says "6/5" under the driveline section. but nothing specifically about diffs.
Have tried to do some research but nothing seems to make sense.
So, what are the chances it has a f series independent rear? and if it does how strong it it up against a 1uzfe auto highway cruiser??
Anybody know ??
Thanks

Maybe one day it will be lucky enough to get some decent wheels. Only problem is any decent wheels I buy wil be going on the corolla lol. Cheers though

Pattern for the spoiler is pretty much done, and hopefully off to the fiberglass's tomorrow.
Then fit it asap and see how long it takes before i wipe it off :/
Other future plans is to 1uzfe it when the corolla is able to be used as a daily.
Lower and certify then smaller tyres... one day

Wow, never even heard of these before, but that is so dam cool

Cheers Guys, Am using Hue at Feilding Electrical and hes done older 3sge and 1uz before so will see how he goes.
-
cheers man, thats what i want to hear, same here i have no skills with electricity what so ever.
-
Got some dry ice (after convincing Boc that I wasn't making bombs) and did the old freeze and bash out the sound deadening, worked a treat.
Purchased a aluminum Evo 6 radiator that will hopefully fit tomorrow
Also talked to the auto electrician and there is doubt that the Altezza ecu will be able to be wired up to run the engine with out the dash cluster etc etc. so may need a link g4? And if I go that way and spend that much will be going with itb's, argh.
Anyone know of any beams 3sge conversions that have worked with factory ecu? Cheers -
Keen to see if the s13 subframe fits without cutting into the rear seat/floor
Good luck
-
Na this ones just a helix style lsd? (hopefully loose enough to get a cert with)
Not sure if im keen on spending that extra on a air or elocker, when im not 100% sure its going to work.
Brennan's, ke70 Corolla, 3sge Beams powered.

And cheers about the photoshop.
