  1. havnt posted on this build for a whle so thought id give a litle update... so i finally have my cert and a final set of rims for the car (refer to other post about deep dish rims) they suit it alot beter than any iv had on before i think i decided to replace my recaro fishnets and get some fixed back race seats to give it a tidier look- fishnets have just been done way to many times. i have also started on my carpet, got some realy good quality underlay to block out noise and some nice black to go over the top- couldnt just buy new carpet as my tunnel has been choped out and had a much bigger one welded in its place. so its definitly starting to come together now and is feeling alot nicer to drive..still need to finish the carpet in the back and start in the boot( need to figure out what im going to do in there first as i have a mass lack of boot trim).. also am going to start on my engine bay, trying to syke myself up to tackle the de-loom and the polishing task will make an effort to update more often let me know what u think in my discussion link here viewtopic.php?f=18&t=30169
  2. i dont see where the changing parts willy nilly thing comes in, my suspension is going to be within the plus or minus 5mm when i re install what i had and change my tires as it states on a cert plate so thats sweet and to my undertanding if i smashed a exhaust tip on my dx wagon i woudnt need a cert so i dont get why changing to a smaller tip minus a silencer would be an offence if im still within thw legal noise restrictions..they guy isnt even certing my exhaust as far as i know that is done seperatly. on every rotarty iv owned there has been nothing about the exhaust on any plate. they check if you have 2 resonators + a tip tho i think thats the minimum that you need or something along thoses lines anyways
  3. they shoulda rolled out of the factory like this i reckon...maybe minus the camo
  4. limited time and cash , im certing it with standerd rims all round as your allowd to go up 2inches without a cert any1 wana buy some modgies with ugly tyres??? haha
  5. the suspension im putting back in was only removed due to bumping out under "3 rear passengers weight"- my starlet only takes 2 rear passengers but we didnt find that out untill after the first inspection so the first set up now would be fine, especally with new bumps. so cert wont be void as it will still be + or - 5 and as for the exhasut im not doing it dodgey iv put all the nesacery resonators in there just isnt enough room for any more under there, without the silencer im only JUST above the 95db mark and the silencer just makes it sound shit ,its more of a quick fix untill iv got some money and time for a smaller tip
  6. i dont mind the noise and to be hoest its not over the top loud like some rotas but the silencer just makes it sound like my ksev with an exhause leak and a lumpy idle haha when its certed im going to drop the back again and mite have to go smaller on the dumpy cause it was pretty damn close to the ground before i put the kingys back in it
  7. well after the modgie fail i started playing with my steelies and came up with this combination for shits and giggles haha looks pretty staunch i rekon right so who wants to donate some rims to me ??
  8. oh yea sweet, its for a warrent but the cert guy said it needs to be quieter to so hel have a good look at it no doubt, definitly dont want it in there for the long haul so maybe a temp tacking will do the damagee cheers mate
  9. hey all i really need my silencer welded into my dumpy asap-just needs a few tanks or something anybody out there able to weld stainless or know someone that can help me out for cheap its the last thing i need done before taking my startlet b ak to the cert guy any help well be greatly apreciated
  10. hahaha fuck yea and just tape the flares on
  11. the modgies came with my ke70 they are not gonna live on either of my cars haha it was only for the sake of my cert
  12. so i went out and spent $200 on tyres this morning only to find that the modgies are to wide for my cert...realy should have checkd them before hand they dont look bad but stick out past the gaurds which im rly sure isnt allowd soo after all that im just going to tidy up some 13 inch steeleis that iv freed up from my ke70 wag and use them for a while, should look interesting haha
  13. ok so i put the ROH reflexs from my starlet onto the wag and they dont look to bad have made it look a fair bit tidier BUT makes the need to sack it much worse someone give me some lowering gears http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/1192/dsc00570yc.jpg http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/9933/dsc00571et.jpg
  14. yea hard aye , as soon as my starlet is done itil be sitting on the ground!
  15. got my rear seatbelts in there was no anchoring points for a centre lap belt so cert guy said there was no need for one heres a pic of the interior with my rear seats in, door cards still need a tidy up and i needa sort some carpet out
