Its fucked. Cut it out and replace it or take it too someone like Tony at Custom Metal Shapers in ET who can sort it. Going off the previous amount of questions you have posted you are probably quite fussy so want it right. It would bug the fuck out of me finishing a car and knowing that that was lurking in the body.

I'm pretty sure they are 200 bar which is more like 3000 psi so you are already 25% safer than you thought. That said, I spent years driving around Ak with argon in my single cab ute. The chances of getting booked by the 5.0 are almost zero as they wont know what argon is and you can bs your way out of it.

Thanks. If the guy selling it ever gets back to me I will arrange something. I actually broke into a rant yesterday about buying cars on trademe. People list phone numbers then dont answer their phones and the "no reserve" start price seems to be 25 % higher than the car is worth.

much appreciated guys. Is anyone around here from Levin or know of someone capable of a vehicle inspection in Levin? Booze or cash?
-
Thanks. Normally I wouldn't even consider or bother but the price (start price atleast) is good and I'm having trouble finding an 03 - 05 focus for reasonable money. It's an 05 with 69 kms. It also needs a wing mirror so parts may be pricey.
Cheers.

Hello.
Can someone give me a heads up on the damage in the pic? Its a Ford Focus. Will this be a difficult/expensive repair?
Thanks.

Great work! Whats the deal with the engine? Its a toyota V12 engine yeah? What did it come out of?

18 months Can people do that now? We had to do 8000 hours (4 years) as a trade certed fitter.

My company is the NZ agent for Fragola. If they leak they have probably been incorrectly installed or mismatched. Our fittings and fuel systems (Aeromotive) are fitted on many of the top fuel cars in the States and the world over. I receieved your PM and left my contact details on your phone ealier this week.

trust me, i'm a professional too.... go and knock on a few doors and ask for an apprenticeship (sp.wine) We old(er) people appreciate that shit and offer people jobs on the basis you can handle some rejection in the real world. Also, dont wear a hoodie, dont use the words bro, u'se (to describe a group of people) or mention text messaging. We hate text messages.

Sad to hear but it was a very good innings.

yep most flat peak wearing young'uns go all mushy for 12A fronts but i personally think they look to plastic and yuck compared to a 10A front (but i am biased)
The first car i ever went over 200kph in was a rx2 back in 1989 on a trip back from Nelson after a day racing RC cars. It was quite a hoot I tell you!...
I wish I took photos as the fella had lots of old Rxs but I knew absolutely nothing about cars then.
I remember looking at some pics of your white 3 coupe. Do you still have it?

Credit for these pics goes to OLDMAZ. Thanks. I have quite a few more but need a scanner to do so. Keen to see anyone elses rotary pics if they are available.

Found this a few weeks ago too - took me a while to figure out what it was!
This is one rare car, what a minto.
Do want
What is it? Interesting rare quarters. Would love that grill for my coupe. And those black plates. If anyone has anytidy black plates for sale (earlier the better) im keen.

WOW! What's the story behind all those? I always wanted a white series two sedan.

Awesome info thank you, yes I found out the fuel line in my car from factory is 7mm internal diameter and that 3/8 is 7.6 internal diameter so that wouldn't have been much of a upgrade at all. But 1/2 will be so just working out cost involved for that and trying to find out if the pump will be up to the task .
Let me know what you need re. hose, fittings, tube and or pump and I can sort you out with some good discount. Based in Penrose.

Yeah it was a kind of tender. Was between me and one other guy. Were you the other guy having a crack at it? I found out about the car when the owner built a Fraser. A mate at the time worked for Neil Fraser and told me about the Capella. PM sent for the pics.

I have some old photos of this very RX2 years ago at a car show in Hamilton.
Would be keen to see those pics. I purchased the car from it's original owner in Hamilton. I pretty much had to show him my CV of previously owned cars and go through a lenghthy interview before he would sell it to me. Thanks for sharing the link to the article. I did however own the car for alot longer than 12 months. I grew up with Brendon in Avondale, Auckland and turned down better money than what he paid for it to ensure it was "preserved". He still has it though it seldom see's the light of day. There are alot of really nice 2's and 3's in that situation.

Awesome oldschool looking Mazdas! Just as Nana intended!
(got anymore?)
yeah quite a few. I will have to dig them out. Pics above are late 80's. Early 90's they kept the wheels and got lower. Supertraps were quite popular also. RX2's and 3's sold for around 2 - 3K. Know one seemed to want RX4's as they were too heavy but they were reasonably uncommon anyway.

picking one of these up tomorrow for quite cheap a 1985 150cc honda elite nice futuristic look to it is why i took liking to it throwing up wether to keep stock or chuck a big bozo exhaust on it and lower it down opinions and if anyone could make it lower and photochop a bozo exhaust on it not to silly over done just a small decent sized one Thank you
if its clean and original id keep it that way. Looks classy for a rice scooter.

when I had it.

So 8x 300cc = 2400cc. per hour ???
Max 10psi of boost pressure opposing the fuel injectors
7 to 6mm id hose , aprox 3m length, assuming that there wont be a prerssure drop across this hose as in theory its just a hydraulic setup ?
All this information must help me to find out what the id of the supply pipe I will need , and also if the minimum the fuel pump needs to flow ??
Ive just skimmed through the previous posts and I cant see where the flow of the fuel pump is given? This is what you need to know if you are to work out the pressure drop through given line sizes.
p.s. If you need bundy tubing, we sell it. 5/16 would be a shade under $12/metre.
edit. I just spoke to a work mate who designs fuel systems. We sell fuel systems through our speed shop. I descibed your set up and he recommended the following.
suction from tank to pump. 5/8 (-10)
fuel line from pump to fuel rail. 1/2 (-
return to tank. 3/8 (-6)
This would be for an engine making 400 hp or more. He also noted that the bosch pump may be a little on the lean side. PM me if you would like to speak directly about this and I will forward you his number.

Hello.
A mate sent me these pics a few years back when I asked if he had any pics of my Capella Sedan (Japanese assembled RX2). These shots were from the 1989 Rotary Nationals. I will try to scan in more that I have as I find them. If anyone has pics of other Mazda's this would be a good place to put them

awesome to be in the 12's! Those are some serious times for a street car in full trim. That 8 second pigeon must have been something to see!
