  1. well, we found a wire off today, and by looking at the pic of engine bay, worked out where it had come off. one side has one wire at the bottom, nothing on the top ... the other has one top and bottom. worked out that the top one had slipped off... put it back on and lo & behold.. my rev counter works again, so unsure whether doing that has buggered up my tail lights/dash lights *exasperated sigh @ being a dumbgirl lol*
  2. unfortunately, i'm not mechanical/electrical.. i'm the type who needs to take cars to mechanics/sparkies
  3. aw u rock thankyou! she's got a few gremlins, now i have no lights on my gauges...indicator lamp lights up but not high beam light.. and as of this evening, brake lights but no tail lights
  4. Thanks guys! haha hey ryan, your lovely gf told me to come here, finally made it! the fuel/temp gauge crapped out a while back, went to e.parrot & sons, they fixed it, few days later i took it to work for the first time, on the way home, i lost fuel/temp/oil press/speedo/rev gauges.. it had been suggested by someone else it may be a wiring fault somewhere, figured maybe even if it's not, that new wiring wouldn't be a bad idea for the wee min. needs the gearbox fixed too, (among other things lol) mechanic in chch said at least $2k, mechanic in hinds, just about choked on his cuppa, and said "oh bollocks to $2k" bugger tho, cos he's just up and left edit to add: sorry... i did edit original post.. i'm in christchurch but happy to travel to a degree
  5. Hey everyone.. I'm Ness.. new here.. howdy Wondering if anyone knows the best place (between chch-timaru) to take the wee beastie to get re-wired? (not somewhere overpriced!) Thanks heaps!
