Been a while and not much has happened. Have made camber plates so atleast there is progress
While i was there i put in some x7 knuckles
also did a gymkhana type thing but had to keep sideways action to boring specs
mates gem

note to those that care/want to do similar, i'm going to run a early 80's hilux diff purely because it's fractionally shorter (there are shorter again available but less common) and beacause g-series lsd is alot more common and cheap compared to f-series altezza liteace abominaton. Plus in the end it will still be stronger and apparently torsen lsd eats kaka

Long time not much has happened. Had a go at some door art and painted centres red-
Made coilovers as per tutorial but with sw20 inserts
still needs more low, i'm running them just uncaptive but any lower and the rims will touch the adjusting nut. Time for new rims methinks.
Also ditched poverty 175's in favour of 195/55's with actual tread left
I've had a few of these so time for lieace f-series with lsd (when i can actually find one)
It's wof time and she's pretty well ready but wouldn't mind ditching the locker instead of pressuring my wof guy. PM me if you have an e-series live axle head for sale

I'm thinking 4wd liteace since (will confirm this weekend) the 2wd e-series have the same axles as the cressida so width should be mint. And yea altezza diff would be the plan. Whats the usual price for an altezza lsd?
-
So i'm going through axles way to fast to source replacements and i'm keen to do the old school track day etc but can't source anymore axles and basically wouldn't trust them over the course of the weekend anyway. My plan is to do a conversion but i don't want to shorten the diff and i can only get another 5mm max out either side. My current e-series is around 1440 wide off the top of my head so what are my options? How will an f-series last? I can get an r31 diff which would be perfect but am yet to measure the width and don't know how strong it is. Would also like the option of an lsd.

O.k so i'm still stuck. Have checked all vacuum lines and found one with a leak (fixed it with no change) but even then they should not cause this. Am i correct in thinking that for it to idle higher and run fine like it is it must be drwaing air through the afm then bypassing the throttle body?
All i can think of at this stage is maybe the idle control valve is spring loaded and somethings jamming it open? Couldn't get it out but I'll keep trying.
Also put a plastic bag over the air filter and was able to bring revs down to the point where i could stall it hoping that I would be able to hear where any air was leaking but i got nada

not idle control valve

Will do. Forgot to mention it's a gen2 1ggte

Went drifting today on a private road and all was good, running perfect, ripped the handbrake to turn around, powered out of it and immediatly started to idle at 3k (noticed through lack of engine braking). No other issues whatsoever, None of the throttle assembly is stuck so wtf?

Oh yeah i got the tacho working, So now i've got a gauge telling me at 4k how little boost i'm making

ALMOST got kicked back a page.
New bumper and picked up an oil cooler with some copper lines from my brothers still (joins will be welded soon)
Not sure if i should paint the cooler silver and also if i should polish the copper. Suggestions/vote?
Put on the bonnet from the donor. Needs more rust but the paint itself is pretty rightous
Boot is in similar but awesomer condition so that will go on soon.
Also got a gay steering wheel but it feels like i'm driving a go kart so it can stay for now

Long time stalker, first time poster, please don't judge it as just another p.o.s flat peaker/knuckle draggers black cressida. Was pretty much that way when i got it.
Closest pic i have to how i got it. Had standard rims/balloons, bit of nosebleed stance and hideous intercooler plumbing.
Basically bought it with a certed 1ggte, manual, locked diff, cut springs, and no wof for 4 years.
then some trailer rims and had a go at widening my own steels to 14x9, and stretching on some 175/65's.
then this weekend i finished making my 15x11's (originally 12's but tyres were going to be too pricey) and fitted 205/55's, rolled guards
and then the victory pipes after that and this is pretty much where im at, after a string of problems and pretty much replacing everything to get it legal and running mint/less spun bearing
Plans are to find some silvia adjustables and get the handling set up for a laggy and overall dissapointing track day. If a decent donor turns up i'll do the whole sharknose, racing colours thing but for the time being i'm going for a patina shakotan ladyboy look. Excuse shitty photos and feel free to comment/start discussion thread it yall feel the need

I found the e-series liteace axles are a better design so should last alot longer in theory (i havn't broken mine yet)
