    Cool wagon bro!

Yeah I thought the ones I brought were identical. I'm sure they looked same in length ect otherwise I wouldnt of installed them. Hmmm will try again later today

I think I kept the old ones in the boxes the new ones came in. I'll check this evening, then I can take measurements and normally give you parts number aswell...

  2. you guys still are lucky, I have wheels coming from japan as we speak so checked what were the rules here in Belgium... Everything higher than 22euro is taxed (around 24pct), and from 150euro on it's the full amount (around 28pct)...

  3. lips on the oni's are damaged so offset is kinda free with ordering new lips I can change it. the staggered sa3's are et32.. would like some more dish so would change them in time.

they are a bit far from me to just try them on, not that far, something like 200kms, but still...

it's just the style of rim and the style of car I'm not sure about... and I can't photoshop or picture it in my mind so ask for opinions...

  4. Thought I might stick this wee story up here, posted on the samba.

I live in Antwerp, Belgium and my beetle was found a few kilometres away in a garage where it stood for about 40 years.

The previous owner placed the oval there and left it in it for all those years.

Via a college at work who knew of it existance I managed to talk to the owner trying to sell it to me.

It all worked out, so where now into the building progress...

The driveway onto the garage had to be cleaned, because trees and grass blocked the way to the garage.

From the road view, you couldn't even see there was a garage...

  5. There is always track, show, and illegal use... But maybe with a 5m i could get away with it because it looks kind of period correct and practically nobody knows early 70s crowns around here so certers dont either.

the not road legal factor isn't the most important for me, oldtimers are my cup of tea, and modifying even if here in belgium it will be practically impossible to get it on the road, most of my cars remain stock or have yearly reversible mods...

  6. The lexus gs300 is a 1995 so that would be better/easier?

then the question is is anything else salvageable/ usable? It only has about 100000km and is for sale for 3000 euro, that's asking price...

or proceed with 7m original plan.

or something else like the 5m idea, dont know where to find one of those in belgian/european cars, have to check...

  7. Ok, new aproach,

I can buy a 2jz ge vvti with few parts missing for a bit less than 1000 euro with loom but without crank shaft pulley, or buy a running lexus gs300 with 2jz ge and the rest of the car for around 3000 euro. can I use a lot of the rest of the lexus or am I just stuck with it afterwards? would still be looking for a manual box then...

and ofcourse selling the MA70 supra then...

    thoughts?

  8. ofcourse i know sheepers crown, love it, followed the whole build fanatically

yes, I have a manual, but will this keep up long, and it's a 3-speed... so this will bolt up, but then returning to my initial question, so a R154 would bolt up aswell? I've already cancelled the purchase of the box...

so the 7m is an option but you say it won't be money well spent compared to the jz option. but I will still have fun with the conversion/manufacturing and driving/going sideways and when that's all over check for more radical build (tube frame, more horses, ...)

  9. Hi

so, much thanx for the quick answers. respect everybody's opinion and may have to come back on that and admit you guys are probably right but some questions and stuff in my defense:

I do not have just an engine, I have a compete crown, just with a auto box instead of a manual. maybe can use other parts as well to get it upgraded. (like mentioned fuel supply or brakes, I don't know, I'm really more into restoring 60's cars than modifying 70's to 90's)

my crowns are both manual so I don't have to make up a third pedal.

it will probably never get on the road legally because here we don't have certs for modifications, it's stock or not permitted on the road. (or I  have to get it stock registered and start modification after that, but when this will change to a checkup every 3 years or so it will have to go off the road or be reversible)

    now, questions

I'm not that great with the wires and stuff, H-vans have practically none, is it really that hard to get it going again. and why is everybody screaming it's such a bad engine, is it really that bad, it's like the engine is in hte top 10 of worst engines ever... (problem is, manuals were not that common, especially not in europe, even the W58 is a pain in the ass to find. jz's aren't that common here either, and they ask prices like 3500euro for engine and box. 7m's can be bought for around 600 and that's what I paid more or less for the entire MA70)

    confused...

  10. hi,

I have a ms75 crown I want to upgrade with a 7mge. I have a complete MA70 with 7mge and auto gearbox. now want to buy a manual for it. tought about R154 becaus if I curseword up the 7mge I could proceed maybe to a 1 or 2jz.

will the r154 bolt up to the 7mge or will I need a bellyhousing from a w58, or will I have a lot of other issues

    plan!?, or just don't...

  11. like +35 or something horrible, they were on kurts x81 and looked pretty nice, be looking for $250ish

so that's for buying the hearts then actually... are lips easy to get fabricated/pricy? 250, thats real dollars or nz, have to convert to euro's and add shipping but might be interested...
