So, the wife has a new hobb, her aquarium. It isn't really going as she wants so next thing was to ad CO2.
The bubble counter for that system was installed 'in line' but apparently to heavy for the tube connection at the diffuser side so this happend yesterday (day 2 of the installation)
So yesterday while the potatoes were cooking and she was still working I whipped this little bracket up as a surprise:
Nothing fancy, 20min job but looks OK and does the job...
Cabinet underneeth the aquarium in a following post as not finished yet

Good find this. Like it very much. Didn't know they existed...
And on the rear brake cilinders, I did the same for my crown wagon, used cilinder and rubbers, swapped pistons.

Great car and write up! Thanks for sharing.
Here in Belgium there were 10 MS51s sold originally. I just came short of buying one of them a few years ago. I know one who has another and has broken one. I think that's it for belgian MS51s so I won't own one ever I am afraid. I would swap one of my MS75s any time for an MS51...

finally got around taking a pic of the sticker...
Here on the crown, an original one
and a reproduction I bought from the belgian toyota club for on one of the other crowns

Did you guys get the 'my toyota is fantastic' sticker? My MS75 crown still has one on the back window. Pic will follow, will have to take a new one...
The toyota club in Belgium does reproduction ones of 2 styles of these.
Maybe that does not classify as a dealer sticker, but a toyota genuine one?

There is an old man living a bit further down my street who has one of these. Nice oldschool light green colour... went into a ditch though so one side isn't that pretty anymore...
Should buy it at one point but to much projects already. We'll see once it is that time for the owner. I already showed some interest...

Hi, some older machines at work. Can't show the newer big ones as ther emight be company secrets in the picture. Think I am safe with these few.
Column drill
another column drill, bit bigger
and a press to rectify pieces after flame cutting or welding or milling...

Nothing wrong with overkill. As a draughtsman fresh out of polytech I had a go at designing a timber boardwalk structure. The senior engineer had a look at my design, took out half the columns, and reckoned it would be about right.
I am used to design everything a little to strong, unless weight for example is critical. I design press brakes (LVD) for a living and we allways say, it's designed the LVD way when it's overkill. Better to use a few kilograms to much steel :p

Love your work mate. Have contemplated doing something similar, can you explain the chemfix bit? I was thinking of bolting direct to the studs as whatever I build kids will no doubt try and climb on it...
Thanks man!
https://www.gooduse.com.tw/en/faq/How-to-install-the-chemical-anchor/faq-01-10.html (and make sure you fix a threaded rod inthere, not a drill :D)
Something similar to the above, but I had to use an additional sleeve as I was dealing with 'hollow' stones... My solution is probably overkill as I used 5 M10 studs/shelf but the oak alone was 7kg for the heaviest one. Better safe than sorry...

So, present for the wife...
I went and bought some oak
Had some fun with chisel, sander and son
Made some pockets and some holes
Made some brackets
Test fit after final welding
Added some oil and vinegar
Chemfixed the brackets to the wall
And let the wife be happy and do her thing...
cheers, thanks for watching!

I like this thread a lot so time for some contributions... random stuff I just found on my phone.
I made a doll house thing in a little suitcase for my godchild
and wire people
Check for details...
I also made her a dragon like doll to cuddle
no pic of it all assembled
Other gifts...
Lamp for a friend who has bees and just had his first son at that time
Rack for spices, one for my brother, one for my sister in law
Some deco for my sons bedroom, a lamp...
Another lamp
And some cut in half dinosaurs
For the daughter as a present something to hang and store clothers for her dolls
And some covid protection thingy for my wife as she is a speech therapist
V1 which was to wobbly according to her
And V2 which she and her partner still use
That's me for now, not revolutionary or shocking... Thanks for watching.

Thanks for the advice. I did some more googling aswell and waterblast seems to come up frequently but I don't have the powers to do that at home, nor did I have Wet and forget on the shelf so I tought I would start with something I read that was within my powers with readily available stuff, which was (hot) water and vinegar and lucky me, satisfying results...

I don't know all the details, but came out of a norma race car and was mugen spec. And somehow I recall him saying it was made a 2.1 instead of a 2.0. Has a lot of goodies inside. He wrecked one aswell by putting in the wrong valve springs and then hit the valves at high rpm.
It's this car
I know the part between the drysump and the alternator in the previous pic was the engine mount, fix to the chassis, no rubbers or damping.
And yes, expensive, I think I remember him saying the drysump part was 1800euro if I am not mistaking. He was looking to build a spare engine at that time.

If only my house had an MS75 in front of it... (well, it had at multiple occasions but not ever a roadworthy one :p or an MS51 for that matter )
Very nice work! Looks like a lovely place to be living in. Self made furniture just makes it even better...

Thanks for the input.
Not to fussed about cheap china spec tyres, don't mind them being a little bit more quality.
So I played around with the will they fit thingy and looked at tyrestretch to get an idea how it could look.
Toyo proxes r888r only have one 14 inch option for example and thats 185/60 r14. I just don't et the whole numbering qualification as they say they could fit 5.5 or maybe 6.5's on the website but on tyrestretch.com they have examples of that tyre on a 7.5 and doesn't look as stretched as I would have tought.
Or are the numbers not adding up? And I don't know about legality...
And ofcoarse willtheyfit says I will have a speedo error of 12.81pct...
difficult...

Hi,
All new to the wheel and rubber choices so would love some advise.
So I have these wheels
and this car
These had 695-14 tyres on the original 14-5.5 steels, could be 5 wide aswell, to sure. On my original steels i now have 185/80-14 white wall tyres. These are slightly bigger than the original ones but look acceptable (my opinion). Now I have 7 and 7.5 wide longchamps. I'd like to know what rubber would be suitable and would look good. I don't want this baloony look:
And I don't want to be running 90 when the speedo says 110 neither and don't want to be swapping diff ratios or such. I could live with a little stretch but not necessary.
So a good looking, quality tyre that is only slightly smaller than the original. what are my options?
