  1. ...So I had a problem. Not wanting to run a thinner tyre size because I planned to widen the wheels in the future and worked out these would be perfect on there I got to work with a roller. I worked on it slowly, trying to keep the arch lip as vertical as possible I think I did well.

    and then

The front fitment of upgraded parts gave me so much shit I was happy, after re-arranging the rear shocks for the car, to find only a massage was needed.

    Then it was out

So the missus went away for a week and I took the oportunity to take over our lounge with all my spare wheels, parts and greasy stuff so I could get the car into my new shoe box.

After finally getting everything off and fresh things back on I started to test fit wheels to see if my calcs were right. Yep.

  3. I ended up selling this before anything good was done and is nothing on any of the builds here but may be interesting anyways

Picked up a set of these <3

Got some mint fishnets which I've always wanted, also never used :rofl

At this point I had already found some lowering springs for the car but decided I wanted to get decent coils that would really get the car to where I wanted it so I got a set of these S13 badboys mixed with some other parts from murica.

    8360438383_dea17be875_z.jpg

So then it was search time for the S13/S14 parts needed to convert to use the fuckers. I picked these things up.

    8727036860_2dca0cf98c_z.jpg

I then found the brakes were having a few clearance issues on my 14's, mainly on the back of the wheel centres.

    8727037060_c6c9fc8ca3_z.jpg

I knew spacers wouldn't be an option due to the longer S13 LCA's and my calculations for where the wheel would sit soo after some massaging...

With all the parts hanging around and more to come I realised my "garage" needed a clean up.

  4. Got my sleepy eyes on, happy with the install as I thought I wouldn't be able to find anywhere without wrecking the dash, works as normal or sleepy mode, lights eitherway.

Getting onto the wheels again today so will hopefully have them done shortly and someone is interested in my wagon so may have big updates on the way/moneys

Oh and engine bay for Nic, CA18ET (?right) not DET like I was told, didn't even look in the bay until this week lol

  5. Yeah yeah all good, I know the difference but as far as offsets go all I know is they can take wide negative offset wheels, no specifics... It's just the only z I've seen lately with no flares that is pretty awesome all round imo.

Just look at a distance and don't break it down cunt! :)

  6. Sweet aye, still not into mis-matched wheels but after looking around I can see why you'd run them, so many pairs vs full sets for sale. Can't wait to suss out some proper wheels later this year :bounce:

Raining today so I drove the silvia in, guy in a car had the WTF face going on after I'd pass him then roll full circle around the large roundabouts before going the same way and passing him again. Getting the feel of it though, I can nearly slide all the way then carry on off the roundabout, so fun

  7. So Friday was a good day, got some wheels and my boy took his first steps! Win. I've got another set on the way mid next month but both sets are temporary untill I sort yahoo.jp out. I'll be cleaning them up and polishing the shit out of them and painting the "barrels" gold as it shows nicely through the windows/slots. Cleaned both the bitches today and got another pic for fred. Same old but hey...

This month I'll be finishing the wheels and swapping in the suspension, sort of decided I'll be chopping the standard springs I have and get it low, then have the 40mm lowering springs for MOT's until coilovers. Also fixing the rusted front lip brackets and a tiny patch on the boot that I found today

    Wheels

    IMG_5003.jpg

Gave them a real quick sand and autosol. Will get a mirror polish after a proper job

    IMG_5009.jpg

    IMG_5010.jpg

Tyres are the ones that came with the wheels so will sell them if someone wants to buy or throw them away, plan on running wide, low profile tyres to make up for lack of width/offset, think it'll look cool

    Washed

  8. Shit that's one of the nicest startlets I've ever seen. Really like what you've done and keen to see it with the coilovers in and down :) Could you message me some info on what parts etc you needed for the conversion? I assume it was just old struts, coilover sleeves, revalved shock and springs?

  9. Small update. Managed to score a set of 40mm lowering springs and front shocks for 40! Will be a good upgrade and some lows since my current springs are pretty rusty. The shocks I have already are newish so will be swapping the springs over after giving them a clean up and may send the legs away to get remade with proper low springs if I don't do a s13 swap, still haven't decided. While picking these up I also missed the auction for the set of wheels I wanted, for the second time. mad&happy.jpg

  10. Yeah thanks man I've been perving on there a lot, when I first saw the car for sale any time I searched anything that site came up, it is a fucking gold mine. I'll be using their diys for sure.

On a side note, I cracked a sweet deal, searching for things and stuff I found a set of 40mm lowering springs with front shocks for 40  Picking them up tomorrow. They're in a lot better condition than my currents so cheap as fuck upgrade + a little lows = small win while I get parts together for proper lowerage :)

Yoeddynz - Checked the site out, holy shit did you see this, fucking want
