Name: Ben
Location: Reno, Nevada (formerly a Rangiora North Canterbury boy)
Cars I own: 1959 Imperial Crown (project vehicle), 2004 Ford Mustang convertible (current daily).
Mods to them: Last guy who owned the Impy changed a lot on her but I'll try to be brief: Has the taillights from a 59 Dodge, badging/ hubcaps are from later model Imperials, transmission is a torqueflite floorshifter from a 1970s Chrysler of unknown model (pushbutton no longer operational). An alternator and 2 barrel Carter have been added to the stock blue 413 wedgehead but the fuel pump, air-con and braking system is all factory. There aren't any mods on the Mustang as far as I know!

How I found out about Oldschool: Recommended here by felixx.
Anything else to add: I'm hoping to take both cars back to NZ one day when I decide I've had enough of America.
Hey man. Welcome

Maybe noob but does the 50x50 come in different wall thickness or just go for gold with it?
Yes. From memory all of mine was 3mm except the axle.
-
I used 50x50 box for the frame
50x50 L section for the cross beams
75x50 for the draw bar
50x50 5mm box for the axle
This was for my teardrop

They were set up in series.
2 of the 4 were that corroded that the terminals actually snapped off. .
I will try the rejuv function on my charger on the other 2
It is a hub motor.
I will get more details when I get time later in the week

See if you can use the power tool (recreate/copy) the quick release clip i setup for quick easy battery swaps.
And get the biggest amp hour ones you can get. (Ie 6.0 or 5.0ah)
The stock ones were 30Ah ones.
They are about 10kg each.
It is a full sized scooter.
The cost of replacements is about $120 each so 500 bucks is a bit mad.
Those only gave it 10 km or so range.
Hmmm

4x 12v batterys
2 Had terminals that corroded that they broke off.
They were lead acid batteries.
I will look into some power tool batteries or similar

So I'm picking up an electric scooter (like a nifty 50 but electric. )
It was free but isn't charging
Anyone know much about these?

Camp ground?
Off grid?
Distance from town?
