Oh lordy.

Ok if you can find somewhere to do it sweet, I've got just about every tool we could possibly need so I think we'll have that part covered. Flick me a PM when you know what you wanna do, will have to be after summit.
-
Ah I did one of those on my sister's ZC when we did her cambelt. It's a bit of a job but not huge... I can help you do it if you like bro, hopefully my memory has all the "how to's" in there still! I wouldn't leave it to chance.

Where was the leak coming from dude? Sounds like one of those situations you might look back on and say, "if only..."
-
I'll take it if none of the founding members want it.

Best rip out the haynes manual and get stuck into it, see how it all works out, yeah? "What's the worst that can happen?"

How bad did it over heat? Replacing a head gasket isn't a huge job aye. Easier than putting a new engine in, just depends how much time/money you wanna spend now vs potential gains. It also depends just how hot it got. If it really cooked it to the point of warped/cracked head then ditch it and slap a new motor in. If it just got hot enough to pop the gasket, then it's possibly easier just to fix it for now.

Weren't you talking about one of these...

Could be an opportune time to do it...

Well. That's just silly now isn't it!
-
Maybe Sam wrote my phone number with "booty call" afterwards or something. Did you take a pic so we can play the game of "decypher the japinglish on Joel's car"

Decent days racing. Saw one subi smack it up at the morning stage at Te Akau North and then about 10 minutes later another near fail at the same point. Also ran into Amy and Karl in the cortina in the afternoon Te Akau South stage.
Fun day!

Blew me away that on the same news segment they were defending some woman with no less than 8 drink driving convictions. Our country is fucked. While I agree that street racing is stupid and bullshit, I also know a handful of people who have been found guilty of "street racing" for giving it a quick flick out of the lights, which as far as I'm concerned is NOT street racing.
Plus living next to a gas station that's often home to a lot of hot rodders, I can tell you that the ratio of boyracer to hotrod burnouts is tipped strongly in the hotrodders favour (or dis-favour), particularly on a Sunday afternoon (when there are a lot of kids about).
It's a big punishment for something that is little more than an annoyance to road users.

Cos he's not really dodgysam, he's grumpyoldsam... He said hi to me, but then I'm extra special.

Was alot better than the meets we have up here.
cheers to all you guys who helped try get my wipers going
Did you get them sorted? Figures the one night you need ties I don't have any in the boot.

Pretty rad meet. Decent turnout for Auckland on a rainy evening.
-
Well, there's no point in me trying to sort it before summit cos I wanna put my cash into the morrison but I might be quite keen on buying some bits off ya xxspeed if you've got some. Seedy they need to be 16" for the healing, doesn't look like there's room to fit anything bigger in there. After summit though cos right now it's summit mode.

Side drum. I'm the drum sergeant/lead side of the city of manukau pipes and drums.
/Not the kind of band you expected?
Probably not. Though you'd never guess what I play either
The man flute?
Oh snap. Yeah I play flute. Did classical for ages, then switch to Jazz/rock. Cliffs of Dover was probably my best piece.
And yes I can (or could) play the Anchorman song.
You can blow your own flute? I play trumpet on and off, and bass (badly!). And a side drum! Anyone thinking OS band right thurr?
-
I'm actually after some wheels/tyres, a seat and some mud gaurds for a 16" healing if those are any of the parts you have lying around. Actually I'm after HEAPS of parts but those are the main ones that might be harder to find.
-
Have another go organising it after summit maybe?
-
That's wicked!
-
Yeah not even I would come out in this weather, and I'll come out in any weather! (except this weather, as stated in clause A).
-
Oh nice! It's a good condition version of the little bike I just bought to do up. I paid $40 so makes mine look pricey now!
-
Hey I'm okay with purple...
-
It's not perfect, few rust spots here and there but the chrome bits should come up mint when I give them a polish and everything else is in order. Plus the tubes are less than a year old and the rear tyre was replaced too. Good thing considering 18" tyres and tubes are not easy to find.
How is this so low?

It's easy to catch people doing burnouts. Much harder to catch drink drivers. And yet this is the first guy to get 3 strikes. How many people out there have 10+ drink driving offences under their belt? Given the likelihood of them being caught each time is so much lower, and statistically the fallout of their actions having so much of a greater impact on society, who else would be inclined to say this legislation is a waste of time and/or needs to be revised to include serial drink drivers, serial redlight runners, etc. ie: the drivers out there who do actually pose a threat to Joe motorist.
Also the problem I have, is that there's no REAL proof needed to be found guilty.
Cop/respected citizen of the old persons club: "You did a skid/accelerated too quickly/raced some guy"
19 year old with a skyline: "No I did not"
Judge: "guilty"
At least with drink drivers, etc, their needs to be an actual test/evidence for you to be found guilty.
