boo!
small update for the movember
enkei rpf1s 16x7 35p wrapped in toyos drbs 205/45/16 and slammed on bc gold type br coilovers $$$.....
5 stud bf!
also fully underside of the car painted in chassis black and looks sooo nice and then removed sub frames and fuel tank ect paint in por15 nice and black and non rusty yes!
ultra racing strut brace and using bg top hats mod like everything else..
more goodies arrived again, some still on there way and some slammed with 4 wheels on omg first time in awhile
kl internal and external adjustable cams gears , so this allows you to adjust the intake/exhaust off the one head separately as the gears run off each other so doesn't advance intake and retard exhaust simultaneously like the stock ones would do.
and flaring tool for making the lip on trumpets and flaring tool to get a very nice transact from a circle port aka itb to a klze port which is squareish...
engine bay in the need of some work, chassis redrilled to use bg top hats and crap got underseal every where will make a front strut brace up later to cover old top holes and to go around itbs! .kind of very keen to keep the big rear bumper
next update December or jan sometime and hopefully painted bfmp style
and all new brushes and guards rolled big time with 205 tyres and 35p wheels quite hellaflush and itbs hopefully fitted to a klze

dum question but with the rust kill stuff ive been using it on little rust surface spots that ain't flaky or anything ,will that stop it for good or should i just wip the grinder out for every little bit
or do they just prevent it from getting worst/covers it up but still can spread
-
hmm might go to this one ,to meet you odd os people
-
nice the hair dresser mx5s go good whats it got in it a bp or a b6ze? cough cough klze or fe3 it...
-
depends on the design of the bracket. there is no minimum thickness- did you have an idea of what you were going to use? is the bracket going to be straight/flat or is the caliper offset from the hub mount?
straight or offset a couple cm back and probably make it out of steel
-
hey got some brembos to fit on my hubs and was going to make adapter plates for them ,was wondering what the rules are for the thickness of the metal ect for the adapters
cheers
-
sweet thats good to know guys , so ze it is mostly keen for hillclimbs and road and track
snoozin what mods did your mates lantis have? i agree the klze is a good choice most people bitch about it being alot more heavier then a bpt but i think its least or the same as the blocks are aluminum.Cant wait to take a klze for a spin in a bfmp as they don't weigh much at all ,930kgs according to wiki
-
bit too late for that the kf is in a shit loads of pieces on the garage floor...i thought the class was to 2.5L not 2L im new at the track days ect
hmm if thats the case the kf might be the go
-
yea doesn't seem to promising that it will fit ,but will get some other hubs next week and see what i can do with a custom adapter plate, really want to fit them behind the rpf1s as there sweet wheels.might have to spacer them out a bit and pump the guards
-
ok gave up on the 4wd thing ended up trying 3 gearboxes and none worked...evo 1-3 ,evo 4-5 and a st185 gearbox
so now its going to be a NA track monster with my itbs , big cams and of course a klze
some updates since last one its currently getting painted and paneled
no more crap mazda brakes , little bit big but oh well
4pot fronts and two pot rears off evo 6 next to lantis v6 caliper
then i got some Enkei RPF1 16x7 30 offset
only problem so far is the dam big evo brembos on mazda ba lantis hubs and getting pushed out too far like a 360mm rotor, looks like im going to have to fit evo hubs so the brembos bolt on and can fit under a 16' wheel...
-
yea seen pics of that wagon nick_m its crazy
ive gone off the whole 4wd thing now just theres no cheap gearbox out there that will work cheers heaps for the ideas guys ,instead the car is slowly turning into a track day car/road legal now will update my thread
mount another engine in the back solving all problems?yea just whip the grinder out and weld that shit in there, if i did do that i would mount it longitudinal with like a sub box
-
its because the transfer hits the block but can clear if the engine is turned so the back cyl head is nearly straight up , then the transfer isn't in the way
im making a adapter plate any way so can set it to any angle but that would not work as it wouldn't fit in the engine bay
never want to touch a gtx gearbox there just too weak and don't really want to spend 15k just making so it can handle some power
-
-
tried a st185 and transfer was in the way again also tried a evo 1-3 gearbox but engine would have to be on a mean angle
anyone else got a suggest for another gearbox?
and im stay away from the gtx box as thats just made of glass um theres only one mazda that come out v6 and 4wd that i know of and thats auto...
-
just down the hill to anderson enginering
how much did that end up costing and was that six point? just might be looking at getting one in a few months too in palmy
-
hey recently decided to convert my klze 2.5L v6 in my mazda bfmp to 4wd using bfmr rear subframe and evo 5 gearbox but the transfer was too big and hit the block on the v6 so im looking for another gearbox that can take a hamming and has the transfer further back ,anyone know of a good candid? was looking at a st185 but doesn't look like it will work
-
ahhhh i so would of been keen if i saw this thread yesterday
-
easiest way i found is get the gas plant out and burn it off
-
klze 2.5 v6 from a eunos 800, mx6
-
yea d2's and k sports are very very similar like all the parts are the same size and can swap over
i would go bc's golds over d2's gen 2 as there still new to the market and the problems will apare after some more time and more threads made of the problems of the new d2's
by the way i had been told by a teins dealer that bc's are kind of a knock off of teins and still have most of the quality but just at a cheaper price
-
yea i need a good panelbeater in the Manawatu too, both my rear tyre arches are rusted through
-
cheers guys
also brought some crap crap crap crap k sport coilovers but bloodly sucks guy said they where mint and got them and there is 3 shocks that are leaking grrr so now there no go for anything so looks like i will get some bc's this time or should i just fit some koni inserts in them?
-
talking about axle hmm bugger that sucks oh well , was looking at respining it but the axle thickness gets thinner after the spline might just save me the hassle and get a axle engineered
if anyone knows any great places that can make them and xrayed them as i think thats required now with custom made axles, then please pm some details cheers
