  1. there pretty good ive got one done 230,000+km now 323i manual msport, few issues tho rear subframe where it bolts to the chassis can start to crack but should of been fixed as there was a recall and if lowed the strut tops can crack or go a bit mushroomed looking .Oil level sensor die on them but i check it anyway

price for parts isn't too bad for a new yet semi old car ive brought a bit through bmw diff bush, throttle cable , selector bushes ect all ok prices few things up there, but i just buy that online through ebay or European part sites heaps around

  2. Yeah, air lock potential there

i really hope so. any other ways to help encourage airlock to get out well bleeding it again? ,was going to jack it up on filler side .

will replace the thermostat again with another new one ,the one i got in there atm doesn't have a jiggle pin which the old one did but think it would make much of a difference?

yetchh its hard to say haven't driven it that much done about 560kms in it since i brought it from Tauranga way , was fine then before changing radiator ect but haven't done really any 50km area stuff since then as its non wof and reg/cert...trying to get everything running nicely before cert :)

  3. haha yea a sc12 or 14 would be the go or spend alittle more and get a m90 like i had . would be fine for 8psi at least and then if you wanted to make sure its safe get some millenia s supercharger rods and rebush the ends to fit the kl piston then millenia s injectors ,would be a very nice setup and not too bad on the wallet by the looks of what your manged to do in the last few months...

  4. not mixing any fluids ,was running fine temp wise before i changed the radiator and themostat, but now with different radiator which is smaller but is 50mm thick and 3 core with really fine pitch

it overheats for explain on the way to Manfeild on the 100km open road would go up then stay there for a bit near hot but not in the red then drop down to normal-ish temp ,then do it slowly again and some times not really drop down in temp .did the same on the track too would be over heating then drop down for a little bit then come back up.. and fans are on 100% all the time at the moment havnt got around to rewiring the sensors

  5. Make sure you drain a fair bit of water out of the radiator before you vaccum up some radiator air. - if the water mixes with the TK fluid it will contaminate it and can give you a false positive..

What the TK does is check the cooling system for presence of hydrocarbons in the air space....

haha what about if its pushing that much coolant it keeps on going in the tester :-( because what else could cause it to push coolant over then head gasket?

  6. well the government are just dum here comes more deaths ,accidents, green stickers ect :x

they really need to go out to a garage for a day and see how bad even new cars get after even a year , people are too useless to get things fixed even if they know its bad as it cost or don't even check

get few cars say 2012 and two tyres will be nearly worn to the wires or has and fronts with no tread what so ever did they think to get it fixed before wof no because it cost and it won't change

i quite like wofs as you know your car is safe and your brakes are going to still be working in the next km

  7. yea i will give it a go with one fan only and kind of make a shroud should be ok its a brass/copper 3 core one

and progress for the other car

    cuttystyle_zps60542fa1.jpg

started cutting to make room for bigger radiator ,more space around engine ect bit ruff but plan on removing more so doesn't matter

    cuttystyle1_zps6b7f67f5.jpg

plan to do the above with a tubed lower radiator support too and maybe another tube from the strut towers to the front of the chassis rails and then 8 point roll cage in the back

then slam it some more 8-9cms and get wider tyres then 205's

then hopefully start saving for some engine parts, Zetec shimless buckets ,2.0DOHC Neon titanium springs and titanium retainers+scat 347 rods and CZT 12:1 pistons should do the job

  8. ive been using Koala Kare water based degreaser from supercheap seems good, has started to slowly fade the paint in the parts washer seems to work great on the cyl heads ive put in it tho

the best thing about it is no strong smell like kero and not flammable, other wise i would of cause plenty of fires in the garage by now with welding and grinding haha

yes that eco safe washer seem good everyone likes the one we got at work

  9. +1 the diesel cx5s are alot better, has she seen the new 2013 range that should be coming out soonish of the new mazda 3's and 6's got the same front as the cx5's on them

i like the new wagon  not sure if they are bring a facelift cx5 out anytime soon i know the new facelift cx9 come out a mouth or so ago will have to ask at work

also have a look at the new Subaru outbacks and legacy with the eyesight feature and lane detector ,haha they kind of look like a cop car with the cameras mounted beside the rear view mirror
