  1. also it has no shroud witch im sure wont be helping , the fixed fan dosent seem to feel like it moves much air around underbonnet. I had a 1kz powered surf and the mech fan on that would almost blow your face of when the bonnet was up
  2. Gets hot as soon as it stops moving. Any Idling and the temp creeps up almost right away.it will come down gradually if you speed up to 100kmh, but even then it will start creeping up if you get stuck behind a big truck etc. It just makes it a bit of a pain as i have to be careful where i take it. Traffic just kills the poor old girl

  4. My one just has a stock 1600 radiator that has been 3cored and the z18 4 blade fan directly driven off waterpump pully. I can really go any wider in size due to intercooler piping. I was hoping to take the radiator out and get it cleaned and refurbished, and get a decent sized elec fan & shroud to put back in and hopefully that will sort it.the radiator already has a thermo switch in the bottom tank so may as well give it a shot first before going down the retro-fit road

I have recently fitted a 32/36 DGAV onto my A15, it was a water choke set up but have removed all that, it starts and idle's ok but as soon as i try to drive it down the road i get roughly 15-20 seconds and then it just bunny hops as if its running out of fuel and wont start again, leave it for a bit starts back up sweet and then driving it same thing happens. excuse my ignorance when it comes to Carbs as i'm not very clued up on them, any ideas? things to do/check, im fairly confident i will need to change jets anyhow but would to bigger jets cause the above problem?

Have replaced leads a while ago, mate came over on sunday we cleaned and gapped the plugs witch made a diffrence for a wee while and did a few test's, don't think its fuel related its like the sparks breaking down high up in rev range then the light on computer comes on, going to try another computer when my other motor turns up see what happens there, does anyone know where i could get a handbook/ info on a Z engine?

I have replaced a few Vacuum hoses that have split and i have put new leads on it. ran mint when i did that then its just slowly devolved the issue, i turned the boost down a little and then it went away for ages and ran mint then all of a sudden started to do it again. hmmm will try a few more things

    Z18ET Help

    I'm looking for some help / to be pointed in the right direction, I have not alot of experience with EFI, used to carbs and points, anyway the Z18ET in my bluebird seems to have a issue when you put your foot down it just coughs and splutters. it starts fine and if driven softly will run fine. I have checked the AFM seems to be working. plugs look ok coils are new-ish GT40's. timings correct and was going awesome when i first got it. but seems to have developed this wee issue that seems to be intermittent could it be fuel pump or computer? I have another motor im getting soon will try swapping computers over see what happens then Can anyone shed some light on my issue?
