Moving to Ashburton this weekend, (well, Hinds) and intend to bring my car down at some stage to get finished Any mechanics, or people able to put engine (ca18det) back together in the area? Won't be too much work for someone, maybe a weekend, just want it going Failing that are there any shops you could recommend? Cheers, Rikki

Has brand new wastespark setup and plugs professionaly wired up, but will try anything, how would i check, take to auto sparkie? Was thinking may as well get leads checked too, heard could be too much resistance if they're not so good quality

Engine is wired up and had it running a couple times (albeit on 3 cylinders, idling onnly untill it stalled, <1min). Has chipped ecu for the usual mods, is in a ke30, pretty much everthing done ie brakes clutch etc and just want to drive it ha. So as far as i can see it really only needs head and manifolds put back on, and probably decent fuel lines run as just has rough hose job at the moment. This is providing injector number one is the problem otherwise job will include trouble shooting problem to get it running sweet.

Looking for someone after cash job reassembling my ca18det and getting it running. On first start up number 1 cylinder wasn't firing at all, suspected bent valve but may just have been dirty injector, will get these checked, head is off. Car is home (North Canterbury) but i now live in Dunedin for uni, have 3 weeks holiday mid June and want it going by end of holidays. Can drop off anywhere in Chch area or come to me, whatevers easiest. Please let me know if you can help as i need this sorted and i won't have time to do it Cheers, Rikki 0274869603

Minus external gate, wastespark set up, wiring, catch can etc all to be done next weekend

Yeah mate was progressing really well till i ran out of money ha. Am a full time student for the next 5 years so can't do much on it till i find a holiday/part time job. Don't think it was in Redwood mate, been nowhere in the last 3 months at least. Anyway, missed out on the fuel system went for way more than i could afford. Will just stay with factory tank, lift pump to surge tank then maybe a walbro 500hp.

shizzl - yeah been on a roll but have run out of money now so progress slowed, not liking not being able to do anything much on it at the moment RUNAMUCK - ha yeah true, don't think i'll be doing many long trips anyway, should be enough to petrol station hop anyway and at the price.. might just grab it and if it is a pain later on won't be a prob to replace. Nah wouldn't think so? Never really had it out redwood way and hasnt been anywhere the last 3 months
