2. welded up the notch in the sump.
3. It makes things alot easier Im thinking of using the suspension links from a toyota townace. I had a measure up and and theyre abowt the exact length I need. the townaces have a similar diff to a hilux but alot smaller bearings and stuff so i could cut the link mounts off and weld them onto the hilux housing. The Hilux and Hiace axels side by side Underneath the Townace
4. URL=http://img204.imageshack.us/i/img0156n.jpg/] I got tired of doing things upside down so did some research on chassis rollers. Most of the designes i looked at were quite comlicated. I wanted some thing simple and easy to make so I came up with this design. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
5. Got an rn25 Hilux diff. Had to chop a bit out of the sump to clear the steering rack. I made the engine mounts out of some 100x150 box section steel bent into shape. Chopped all of the old gearbox tunnel out and made a new one around the gearbox. I used the gearshifter hole off the old gearbox tunnel. Moved the handbrake back because the newly positioned gearlever was in the way. Mounted s15 Silvia seats in. Had to reinforce part of the floor mount. The gearbox mount.
6. //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/34836-sreskys-mk2-ford-escort/ discuss here Managed to find an sr20 out of an s14 silvia with an Exedy clutch and 5sp gearbox, driveshaft, engine mounts and ECU all for $600 - bargain. Also got the engine loom and starter motor for $90 - Thanks Tiger. The tear down. Found a bit of rust in the heater bubble. Taking the doors off with an extra set of hands - my engine crane. The night we picked her up
