same principle coper sheet at x amount of .00 tap with ball pen or other u tube coper = soft finsh and fit love oldschool find a fault not a thought

Fixed check light exaust sensor plugs brittle and broken replaced .
And the engine dying I beleive is just the build up of crap inside dissy cap contact points filthy never been looked at since 1992.
I cleaned it up and it now runs and revs alot better been over the bridge and back ran fine .
I will get it in for a service and once over to be safe

relatives 1992 civic died on motorway then started again as soon as AA showed up.Now its got engine light on .I have taken it for a drive thrashed it seems to have no problem
The engine is a 1500vtec have lifted bonnet nothing obvious it gets serviced regularly
My Plan is to check plugs leads fuel filter any other basics to check sensors to clean etc .And can I turn the light of manualy any help appreciated

I have found Wades to be quite good have they done a bad job on your work prior.
I had a pinto motor in with them last year for same work and new valve guides and seating etc I was happy with work and found them cheap and one of the few places that wanted the work

Main bit new alternator braket to move lower new exaust oposite side and new fuel line so it is not on exaust side .

I am a one man band sparky can probably do this legally for fuck all more than you doing it .
Home owners can do work on there own property legally if they own a copy of ECP 51 and know and understand it but if house burns down your fucked .

Do the cam and crank timing marks line up make are you afew teeth out or not on the firing stroke

have you synchronized/Balanced the carbs with a http://www.palmside.co.nz/product_pcid_15854.html
found this worked well for me to get the carbs Balanced also adjusting all idles 2.5 turns out adjusting from here via plug color chart normaly quarter turn or so to correct from rich or lean ( If carbs need cleaning or repair caberator specialist carlton gore rd where fine and ok price well )
A cheap timing light and a degree or two more advance and you should be sweat for under $ 130 if you need plugs and leads not much more new dizzy cap etc .
I can lend you a carb Synchronizer from Mt Wellington and a timing light small deposit

Not sure on the guards there is alot of fiber glass in the front from the body line down and the whole front .and the back has had inner and outer cut out and fiber glassed .I bought as a rusty body with no running gear . Current wheels are 13x8 with 215/50/13 back could use 235's
I never did build thread due to being shit on computer as you see earlier I failed at photo uploads

Got busy removed diff head and had LSD fitted finished given it a solid test today heaps of fun worth every penny .Seems to lock both wheels all the time without fail.
now the diff head is sorted I will wait and see what the weak point is Im picking clutch
Also fitted catch can so it stops spitting oil onto the rocker cover

Bought some skid rims of this guy and would love to buy the car if not for the one already in the way.
from talking with him it would seem he has put some serious time in and done a good job .i am sure whatever it takes to finish it would be good buying .
Maybe not one to buy if you will pay for all work needed to get it cert and on the road

Does anyone know a place in Auckland to make adapters to reduce spigot hole size .After reading this I think it may be my problem .My spigot hole of wheels is to big and Iget a random shake of death. It comes on out of the blue at various speeds

Get hold of auckland cams he will tell you the spec of them all (by measuring lift and duration)pick the one best suited to your application and he will buy the rest for 30 - 40 bucks each

Got some welding work two new floor pans need welding in got a bit beyond my skill if anyone auckland based wants to do it they need to be put in a escort panal van car is stripped to rolling body underseal removed and have reproduction panels .
Anyone how has knows who does this work much appreciated. I am after someone who will get the job done promptly and I am reasonable about cost . also need new front guard lips near doors I can source.
All Help appreciated will be keen to show progress this body work is a hold up have motor 45s and want it painted asap

to explain coper sheet lay on what you want to gasket tap around with rounded end ie ball pen hamer normally from here you can break out gasket or have to trim with blade to fit
