I've used washing powder(for clothes) on relatively fresh oilspills on the concrete drive.

Use a shitload of washing powder and enough water to make it like a paste and then broom the fuck out of it with....errr....a broom.

It's not that good for old stains. I think the oil soaks into the concrete unless it's sealed.

Yeah does seem to be a few boyracer types in totara park from what I've seen, though we've bought in a cul de sac so might be ok. There was a tropicana green mk2 Escort leaving there when we first looked at the house though Might just have to put a 3" exhaust with a 5" tip on the Levin to blend in

I usually take a drum brake and put it on backwards. Then take a big hammer and go bang bang BANG BANG BASH SMASH SMASH AAAARGH AAAAARGH!!!!! Till the axle comes loose. Remember there are FOUR retaining bolts.

My place is in Totara Park. If you have the choice, get a place that's not too close to the hill or you won't get that much sun in winter. No gangs here. Just some "boy racers". Got a guy with a skyline up my street with an external or something, seems to be stuck in first gear constantly.

If you intend to catch the train or something, there are buses that can take you to the upper hutt train station. You could walk to the train station, but it would take a while.....

For Birchville, if you mean Gemstone drive area, its all sweet there too, no gangs. I have some mates who live on Gemstone Drive. One halfway up and the other at Akatarawa end. I've not heard any complaints from them.

Maoribank I think sometimes gets called Birchville(I think). It's one of those lower socio-economic areas. I have never lived there. You can get some nice houses there for cheaper, but it's nicer in Totara Park.
