Ill give BNT a call today.
Cheers threeonthetree, will try get the seller to measure the size of the reservoir for me so I can hopefully just order new ones.
-
Or maybe other Nissans? My master is a Tokico brand
Otherwise where can I just find replacement reservoirs?
-
Google images leaves me to believe you have a brake master that looks like this
Or this
I need to know the diameter of the master cylinder reservoir where it attaches to the master cylinder. Could probably just measure the top of it as looks the same
Trying to make some shit work for my car as my reservoirs are stuffed and these look exactly the same.
Thanks

I pay 66 a month for full cover on a Mitsubishi evo 5. Agreed for 11k. Roadside and all that jazz with youi. By far the cheapest for me by a long shot, I know someone else with a 2011 wrx stis insured with them too for about same price. My driving history is mint bar a careless driving conviction, 29 years old and full license. Classic car does project insurance which is about 100 bucks a year for 10k worth of cover if the project gets knicked or catches fire.
-
Siren676 is hooking me up with some from bnt. Good stuff.
Should probably not be lazy and clean and bleed the lifters but if I was going that route they sell updated lifters for the evo 5 so would just buy new and get some cams
-
thread bump, can anyone get mbl8 for a reasonable price? its like $50 plus retail. need less mitsi tick in my life

Hey guys I got a mint workshop manual here for a prince gloria/b200. In English too.
Is there somewhere I can take it so they can turn it into a file so I can throw it on the Internet for other people to use? I don't know how to do it and don't have a scanner.
Would be useful for other owners etc I'm in auckland
-
ouch a $50 dollar wof..
you get a gold sticker or something when it passes?
otherwise that's one fast turn around time for a project.
-
its just doors at the moment and an inner wheel arch. nothing that's holding the car together.
I think they look pretty legit in my opinion for welds done by my brother 12 bourbons deep. my theory is that you can see that there is steel there so cant be all that bad.
much excite for potential wof!
-
probably a silly question but here goes.
do I need to hide my welded in patches prior to wof? I have about a dozen patches they have just been ground back and primered. I want to get a wof very shortly and am not keen on trying to bog anything yet. pretty sure ill let the pros do the bog job as it will just look like im hiding rust if I do it.
-
Look after them and they're sweet, I got 3 years out of the ones on the Cedric which still looked great when I sold it.
The key is not to put them on a brand new tyre, otherwise the Silicon leaches into them.
how old do they have to be? I have brand new tyres I was hoping to get white walled.
do I need to clock up 1000ks or so or just leave them outside in the weather for a few weeks? try clean all the silicon off?

Would a small shop hammer or a builders hammer and a block of steel work fine? Otherwise ill have to get some new tools.Yea as you weld it shrinks the steel, you should be stretching it out with a hammer and dolly as you go (after each tack/small section of weld). Hopefully your welds had proper penetration so you can grind them flat and work them into shape.
Yea welds have all good penetration, I just haven't ground them flush cause don't need to. All other doors are mint just this one just went crappy. I just don't know where I'm smacking, do I just go around each patch until the panel pops back into shape? I'm in the garage now but am struggling to work out where to start
-
Pictures for reference.
Can see the high spot in the middle above that extra bit we welded and the low on either side. Closest low to camera I can push out quite easily but it wants to revert back in
Photos don't really show it also lighting on that side of the garage sucks (it's closest to the wall)
I'm not worried about the bottom of the door as that was really bad, basicly all hammered in quite severely then bogged over its just that larger flat area above my primered stuff that makes me sad
-
Yea it hasn't had any hammering yet. Just welded, welds ground back to bogable level and primered.
So do I shrink on hammer? I have never done this before and not too keen to fuck the door up. If I could get it 50% better I would be haply

hey guys me and my bro mattybean been balls deep in rust repairs on the prince.
everything went perfect except the last door. the panel has warped, you can push it in and out and it pops like a shitty old oil can. one side ican push out and it looks sweet but if I shut the door it will pop back in.
how do I fix this? do I have to cut it out and start again?
its just a couple patches at bottom of the door and a bigger patch still at the bottom but it extends over the lower door "ridge" and onto the main bit flat bit.
ill post photos if needed otherwise anyone know how to fix this out east Auckland? cheers.

biggest and carbs doesn't really work. you could chuck twin dco 55's on it but it would run like a bag of limp dicks.
go twin 40s and a decent cam and your away. if your budget is decent then after market pistons, head work, valves, balanced bottom end, better block...

Hahaha whut?!
Sort that shit man, jesus, speakerwire, I don't even..
Wait till you see how I set that bad boy, I have a perfectly calibrated bit of no8 wire which is attached to the end of the speaker wire. I pull the choke out till the wire can just catch on the top heater slider line for full choke, other lower slider options on the dash for less choke.
Shes not on the road yet so its just temp... honest!
back on topic, I get fuzzy feeling in my pants over this car. top notch man. your living my dream
-
I fucken hate cold starts after sitting for days...
My choke is also connected via a speaker wire which isn't helping. different choke setting everyday!

So shit has been slow as usual, the odd job being knocked out here or there. Last month or so have been hitting it hard though. Don't have many pictures so you will all have to take my word for it. As per previous posts the boot was fucked so got a much better boot and slapped that on, no rust holes just some surface poos so I'm happy with that.
My triple carbs idea turned to shit after I broke one carb and then the dog somehow pulled another off the bench and broke that. I brought a pretty good condition standard carb for this engine and threw it on. All new points, condenser, dizzy cap and plugs and all that along with the carb she purrs like a kitten.
I have an issue with my clutch bearing, I think that's the world. It's brand new but was sitting for a few years and when I put my clutch pedal to the floor it squeals. Not happy about that. I have a feeling the forks on the piss but haven't investigated further.
Also managed to find the elusive corner chrome bits, not photos with it on as yet as I need to make some more clips but I'm stoked with that.
The bro mattybean came over today and helped with door rust, we got one door sorted now really only 2 to go, drivers is pretty mint already. Was a bit of a fuck up as I didnt have the right tools so we ripped a couple doors off and went back to his. He managed to multi task cooking a barbie to keep the girlfriends happy and also cut out rust and make patches without burning the food. Win win all round.
My mrs wanted to sunbathe today but instead she went around and polished all the chrome on the car. Came out mint!!
Overall, today was a good day.
The mad rake going on.
Mattybeans corona and my prince chilling in the sun. Matt bonnet up as we swapping some ignition shit over try to solve a miss. I'm sitting on the step having a refreshment break. Can kinda see the mrs through the car polishing the rear chrome.

I had a look and there's a couple of twist tape connections and a random wire floating around with a circle connector thing on the end. Will look into that this weekend.clean all the contacts
clean the insides of the lens and bulb holder/reflector
clean the grounds
run new wires if its in bad shape
you wont need to run anything stronger
Inside of lenses was sweet but my reverse lamps have heaps of real tiny cracks all over as they are pretty old. Can't tell if brake ones have them too.
The reflector is a bit of polished metal that could definitely go for a good polish, will get some autosol and give that a go.
My bulbs are all 5w. Is that fine?
Cars a 66. Will get googling about relays. Ill take a photo with it before and after this weekend and see what makes a difference.

hey guys how to I go about getting brighter tail lights and brake lights? I had a little test during the day and they are barely visable in the daylight. my indicators are red too and can barely see them also. want to get this sorted before I get it on the road to avoid people bum rushing me when they for some reason cant understand why they are rapidly getting closer to my car.
its running 12v system. could I just smash higher w bulbs in there and be happy or do I need some rewiring? some other sort of wizardry? im pretty clueless when it comes to electrics but if I could be pointed in the right direction me and my multi could prob just wing it.
cheers.

Hey guys,
Just wanna check with you all about PlastiDip and your experiences?
I PlastiDipped my steering wheel and man that stuff came out brilliant. The color and texture is exactly what I wanted. Super matte finish, clean surface, no runs.. seems quite tough too.
I was considering painting my wheels and wondered if anyone has done this on chrome before - how did it hold after a while? Is it washable? If I get a scratch will the rest just peel off on its own after time? Weather resilient?
I read all these reviews on their websites but you know.. would rather have some feedback from people who aren't getting paid for testimonials.
Cheers!
N3KMINNUT.
Will have to wash your wheels with some pretty weak cleaner if you don't want your plastidip ditching your rims. degreaser and shit destroys it, same with any high pressure wash.
Friend has them on his stock wrx alloy rims and its all good, just got to be careful when cleaning.
I use it on my black door and window surrounds and it holds pretty well but eventually goes by by and has to be done again if your rough or scratch it.

Theres a place in otahuhu in Auckland which sells them. Ill try find the details. I got a set of 4 13inch beauty rings, not the plastic crap ones eithers these are steel for $120 or there abouts. pretty sure they will have 14 inch ones too
Let me do some research for ya.
Edit: BE Car Parts I believe was where I got them from.
Lol just reread your post that you got the last set from there... maybe disregard my post then. Or chase them up and see where they get them from?

Cheers.
Yea was going to go pick a part or zebra and just measuring up. Was hoping I could find one that is the same then just order brand new reservoirs.
