my usual hot start method is one pump then 50%-100% throttle, turn key and let off gas when fires up. works for my barely running piece of shit.

if your not towing a vehicle tow bars are great for causing maximum damage to cunts who rear end your vehicle at low speeds and quite often you come away with no damage too.
watch your shins when walking around the car though

What we classing as cheap? sub 10k gets you a decent quick ride these days.
Early evos, gsrs etc
liberos
Skylines
Wrx
late 80s rx7s
Honda vtecs
turbo starlets
all cost 1/4-1/3 the price of a new bland new kia and go a shit load faster, handle better and are less ghey.

$2501

Likely that means it's been serviced there, that's the later NISMO logo regardless so way out of spec for being a 32 NISMO
Yea when I was taking the photo I saw the word maintenance and thought that was probably the reason. Not a not a bad thing though.
-
White is the best colour for 32s. So good.
Thanks mate. She looks pretty much brand new in the flesh. Usually a foamer at every set of traffic lights and gas station haha.

Chassis number starts with 31 so looks like prob not

Boost restricter has been replaced with a boost controller but it's had been raised from stock yet. Ill take a build plate picture now.
-
How do you know it's its a nismo? I got a plaque on the firewall that says some shit about nismo, a build number and some other crap saying omori
Mines got tomei cams and cam gears, mines ecu, aem fuel pump and cusco LSD and an exhaust. Still running factory boost with stock turbos. Prob going to buy some steel wheeled turbos and crank the boost up. Goes pretty damn hard as it is. I can do 180k in third and lights the tires up when you give it a big first to second thrash.

Couple of pictures. Will make a thread when I'm finished thrashing this all over Auckland.

just discharge it yourself outside, not in a garage. spend your $163 on greenie save the world products and your have basically equalled out the damage.
edit: its a track car, your saving the environment by not driving it daily. already a hero

Cheers guy looks like the general consensus is that gtrs are welcome. I will take some photos tomorrow night. She's pretty mint. Don't get much change for a good one from 30gs though which stings a bit. Still got to put my evo 5 on trademe to get some dollars back.
Have wanted once since I was about 15, am 30 now and with Auckland house prices I thought fuck all this saving for an impossible purchase I'm buying a gtr.
Tempted to see if I can sneak this into the Christmas drag day up here in Auckland..

Ill put some pictures up. Should be interesting enough.
Not game enough to join a skyline forum for fear of becoming a munter.

Governorsam was most helpful and as he's a gc he wouldn't accept my dollars for his time and wanted it to be donated to the Chris American fund and have done so.
Yea car wasnt quite what I was after, I do agree seems like a good deal and seller did text me today saying some purchased it. I'm going to just spend the extra for a better example. Looking at two today in Auckland which are 3-6k more expensive but depending on issues probably cheaper in the long run.
The search continues.

Thanks for all your assistance guys. Governorsam's got this one covered. Will let you know how it goes.
-
Thanks Kyteler, I have PM'd Governorsam so will see how that goes.
Car is completely stock so there isnt any half arse mods on it
Fingers crossed shes a good one. Ill bring that home then probably sell the evo and spend the money from that on the Prince and probably a some extra ponys for the skyline.

Hi guys,
I know its not oldschool but I am looking at buying a 1994 Nissan Skyline GTR from down in Christchurch, only issue is I am up in Auckland.
Anyone able to have a look at the car for me? Go for a ride along with the owner and make sure it is actually not a lemon? I am mainly after any mechanical issues or rust. I will pay you for your time if you can take some notes and actually send through some info regarding the quality of the car. The owner has been very cooperative with me so I do not doubt his claims but I have been burned before.
Thanks in advance.

What annoys me is how they are trying to target the causes of these accidents. Its always some guy doing 110kmph or 57kmph who 'causes' the crash. good example is that one where the there is a guy and a kid who pulls out in front of someone doing 110kmph, the add slows down, they all have a little moan about it then hop back into the cars and crash.
I may not be a traffic cop but my understanding is the guy who pulled out and failed to give way is the muppet and caused the crash. Why are we not targeting shit drivers? Most accidents are caused by driver error, yes I agree if you make an error at 140kmph its going to be a lot messier than 100. I reckon you should be able to get your license revoke until you prove competent to drive if your caught driving like shit.

I put a weber 28/36 DCD onto a 65 superminx with same engine. Didn't make any improvement that I could notice except some noise so ended up going back to stock carb and selling my weber bits. My engine was pretty tired though and my install was pretty rough. I think if your going to do those mods you may as well start with the bigger engine instead.
At the end of the day its never going to be a rocket. Good little cars, mine was my daily for quite a while after I got it back on the road.
Got a picture?

had first test drive this weekend. went fine, no issues except a bit of hesitation when getting on the gas. can jandel your way through it so no worries there. had an oil leak where the line to the oil pressure gauge got a pin hole so just disconnected that for now.
had to fix a few exhaust leaks where i welded the flanges on, was expected though.
heres a video. looks fine on a phone, was facebook messaged to me so looked a little crap after that now youtube has made it look like it was filmed in the early 90s. oh well.

Getting closer to on road status now.
Since last update I have made a new exhaust, fixed all the remaining rust in the inner wheel arch and sealed all that up. New starter solenoid. Still need to get some crimps and connections to rewire a few things that are twist and tapped to just get it going but that will be taking place Saturday.
Also got a spare engine to have a play on as have never pulled one down. Got a stand for it also just need to attach it at some point.
Pictures
Exhaust looking nice and new. Ignore the muffler, hasn't been replaced.
Fixed a big hole here and was difficult as a few areas meet here. A lot of little patches on the inside then welded a big patch over and sealed it all up.Hopefully a driving video this weekend if it stays sunny and the car actually works.

hey sheepers, the guy peter who did the replacement panel to remove the sunroof did he come to your house to patch that? how much did this set you back? I am about to tackle my 80s spec sunroof mod delete mission and would rather pay someone to do it as I feel im going to ruin it as the roof is a rather large part of the car. pm me if it works for you.
