Well I'll get some pics up in the next day or two but after all this time a mate got me motivated to finish the van !! Finished all the carpet now which runs over a false wall between the front seats and the rear of the van and the front floor is all coverd too, any other bits are painted black.....Pulled apart a b4 legacy seatbelt and swapped the webbing from that into the original townace seatbelt housing which works mint as (highly reccomend doing this if you need to replace belts in an old car.....90% of vehicles have a similar setup and its easy to do with a bit of focus) ANywho shes running sweet as a nut again and the new wheels are on it (96 spec ITR wheels) have destickerd 90% of it and now just working on getting the front seats reupolsterd to look the part with the rest of the interior. Roof lining is also next on the list. Anyway will try get some pics up tomorrow night to show the progress....once finished will be up for sale...will be a mean summer cruiser for someone

Not such a good update, head gasket is blowen So I whipped out the radiator which is going in for a service and have orderd a new headset ,thermostat and water pump. Ripped the head off this arvo at work and imagine my suprise when the gasket on there was pretty damn new ....so I pulled it off and low and behold.......another head gasket was underneath it !!! Totally spun out on that one.......Explains alot of things like the oil leaking over the block which appeared to be from between the head and the block, the fuel consumption...every thing adds up now. rangi mods = fail

lulz, bit old for pick a part. Anyway been hitting it again this weekend etc so hers some pics. My mate Craig having just been soldering up the lights in the back (big thanks to him or this shit wouldnt be happening right now) properly soldered and shrink wrapped let there be light then today we got into the other two lights and then fitted up the drivers side paneling and rear sub box, also got started on the false wall between the front and rear seat positions.

I know of this liteace with sweet dished 3 piece 14s. UTERUS wants them so bad. UTERUS: Na I am happy with the wheels I have, just need to make them work...... EURON8: got any parts or acess to any bro ?? Need a passengers seatbelt.

Well no pics tonight but just a bit of an update, Got the drivers side of the rear fully carpeted......Still got to mount the panels up etc but have a bit of wireing to do first in the form of some lights. My mate scores me the carpet but another thing he has is a bunch of small (say 30cm long) fluro lights primaraly for boats however they are gonne be sweeeet in the van Putting one either side in the rear and another in the roof between the drivers and rear seats, they are switched individualy etc so pretty sweet for the retro fit out., As for my wheels situation, well they wheels I planned to use actually hit the upper control arms when the van was put back on the ground so I orderd some 25mm hub adaptors through work and they should be here tomorrow. Also scored some kinda gay but goes with the retro fit theme SASS steering wheel , its not a "raceing style" deal, just a tidy up from the postman pat van steering wheel on it at present, just need to sort a boss kit. Yea thats it for now, sorry for lack of pics but its too friggin late so you'll have to wait until the weekend now

well there is a bar behind the front seats that was torn.....it locates the passengers bench seat and the spots had torn from the body of the car so I pulled it out and me and a mate got to work with some angle steel and the mig to fit it securely and back into place....she's mint now . and got into fitting up the seats in the rear...only one in sofar but you can get the jist of it (exuse the child seat in the first pic)

Yup am gonna give the rear tension leaf a flip to level it out...not keen on the rake. And today I actually picked up some new wheels in the form of 96 spec ITR wheels (integra type R) which I havnt fitted as yet but will be soon as I can scab up some 15" rubber. (yea I work in tyres but am broke as shit) They look pretty mint white on white when put up against the car (similarly faded white too!! ) so if anyone is after some Ward tridents 14" 4x114.3 .....going cheap. hit me up.... will post pics when they are on oh and chur for the title edit .....may as well keep the same thread running

Well I'm sorry to raise a thread from the dead but fuck it aye ...... I aquired the van off Uroji (or however he spells his username) who scored it off the author of this thread. Had the weird starting problem which was outlined in this thread.....turns out that upon dismantleing the starter it was utterly fried.....not just the brushes but also the thing in the middle of them. meh, $20 + postage later (2nd hand starter) and the van starts like a 2008 hiace. So anyway I wanted the van cause vans are cool, and there is always something you can do with them....So I have started to attack the interior, the roof lining whilst trippy as shit didnt stick well to the OG hood lining and i even tried industrial spray on (from a gun) contact adheisive to no avail......so thats now out and the old lining is coming out too....will be black carpet....The checkers however will pop up somewhere in the van for nostalga purposes. So my mate fits out boats and shit for a living and carpet is a plenty so we have started hitting into it......Replacing all the old shitboard panels in the rear with new hardboard and carpeting them grey and the rest of the interior will be black....floor/walls/roof.....I also picked up a couple of old stock recliners from a mate of mine that imports seats etc in black that were missing a headrest....cost me a bottle of chardonay (spelling ? ) The pics wont show you the new headrests but I have modified some honda headrests to fit them so they have a matching pair. (pulled the covers off and moved the poles in 5mm either side) Exterior is still the same for now but as I work for a company that imports wheels and tyres I think the tridents are off to the smelter pretty soon. Anyway heres pics of the carpet etc sofar...oh yea also thought a tool box is essential in a van so I carpeted one i had which will be fixed in there as well ...that last pic the seats are just sitting there but am making up mounts for them so they are around 100 high and they will remain rear facing as I cant legally put them side facing and I want to retain the vans ability to carry shit. Oh and the sub boxes are to be carpeted to go with the theme obviously and mounted properly...the amp as you will notice will be secret squirrel behind what will soon be paneled over. Behind the rear seats is also getting a large carpeted board to tidy it all up.......
