i picked up possibly the last new grille in the europe if not the world of maurice vissier in holland he has a good stock of new old stock parts and a new grille is free of dents in the soft alloy trim

trial fitted

along with new indicators and the brackets you see on the bumper hangers are for the 2 up 2 down spotlights these came with as standard.

the old magnesium minilights are a bit ropey so a cheap set of copies will do for now until i can afford a refurb on the genuine articles,shod with new yoko a539 195/60/13s one fitted for trial its high as the engine isnt in yet and the coilovers havent been adjsuted

usually the tiger sits nose up i like a level playing field so will try get it as level as possible with the new gaz coilovers installed....

the dash is a two part arrangement with a padded vinyl top and steel undertray section these always get some miosture attack and can rust badly this wasnt so bad so a sand down prime and paint in satin black brought her up like new

rear bumper newly chromed and new back lights fitted

rocker cover blasted and painted

a few more pics on progress the floor wasnt in bad nic needed a sand down and a few holes patching so in order to try keep the rust at bay we painted inside with por 15 as well

then gave it a coat of primer

and then a blast of colour chrysler 152 sundance yellow

thats the interior floor done awaiting the black carpet to go back in once the internal battery cable has been fitted as i relocated battery to boot.

nice avengers see your in auckland havent seen many of these down south yet,i left all mine back in eire i had 5 have 2 left the tiger and a 2 door i was goin to v8 but didnt get around to it,still have lots of parts at home if your stuck for anything tricky,im a member of the club to asoc in uk so most things can be got through them,or speedys in uk or mal stuart if you want go faster stuff,there is another member in wellington who has a rally one and a few donors.

did you ever get some pics put together of all the motors? the tiger is all i have left thread on her but its still in wicklow the brother is finishing it off so hope it will be done after xmas we will see.

gotcha,mine was 1200 or 1197 and it was much better than my brothers 1256 chevette,although still wouldnt set the world on fire but would cruise at 70mph and touch 95mph downhill with the wind behind it.

here now a month mate in mapua still finding my way about but managed to get to motueka to watch the drag racing,liking the car scene here its same as home only bigger so will settle in well.

bejaysus thats a beaut but i dont have the eleventy billion bucks that would be im assuming it would be up around 50k nice car though some rally cars at home done in the dealer team colours they look well.

i like em thanks do you still have the chevette my brother is also doing his own sillouhette model with an xe and few hs mods to it will put pics up when he actually gets his finger out of his ass and makes some progress but he will have to finish the tiger first!!!!

hi all new to the site and to nz just moved from ireland so though i would post up my avenger here i still own it and my lil bro and dad are finishing it for me,who knows it may make its way here although maf and customs are a p.i.a to deal with

1500 cc twin 40s high lift cam and not a lot else

upgraded suspension and brakes

as i bought it off an ex chrysler dealer in northern ireland

paint was shyte and a few rust spots to fix but all in all it was a solid genuine mk1 tiger which they reckon there is only 40 left on the road in europe

so i stripped it down and gave it to the painter
