  1. Sunday morning I boxed in the storage box and a mate Dave (avenger tiger) turned up and helped me move all the telephone poles out of the way. This now meant we could properly clear the area then start chopping down the Willows and Hawthorn trees. Hannah got a big fire going and we drank beer in the sun while burning branches from trees that I got to lop down with mr Stihl. This was all good fun. The area is looking better and better. Such a transformation from the overgrown scrubby area it was when we bought it.

Fucking heavy telephone poles I was picking gorse thorns outta my hands all week fuck there are still some in there.they will be going to there ancestral home tomorrow morning.

Looks much much better, now open that cobwebby wallet of yours and get about 50tonne of filling and get it down it isn't going to get any drier out there.

When are all the old cars arriving?

  2. It's in nelson,ye I think the guy regrets starting it now it's turned into one big money pit but will be cool when done.its primarily to tow his mk1 bda escort to targas with.

The guy doing the work on it is intrested in your diff/back axle set up and would like to know what it is.

Welcome to come have a look.he is struggling with window rubbers to they have a windscreen one but nothing lee I have tried all usual uk sources but no joy yet.

  3. Lord that's rotten mike had sent me plenty of photos I had contemplated buying the lot but when I saw how bad it was I declined gracefully, yes I bought the back axle that was about it,how did you end up with it,I thought his co driver was going to use everything off it for his project, hope to get axle picked up when mates are doing targa next month up there.

Keep me posted on what happens with it.

  4. Found the bastard, took out the clocks and could see it from the top,it's just a pile of melted plastic so now I know where to go from there.you have to get into a near foetal position to get the fecker out.

Now I go hunting bad earths.

    Thanks for the replys

  5. Hmmm yep that's what I'm trying to find, haven't found a cabin fuse board,it's a 91 2.8 td. Only place I haven't looked is behind glovebox but did peek up from the bottom and didn't see much.

  6. Cheers yep have checked all the usual spots,no relays on drivers side footwell there is a relay on the side off the blower unit with the speed controller for fan but presume that is for the fan.

The ones in the fuse board are all labelled on the fuse cover for alternator,ac condenser etc the four I found on inner guard seem to be for dip lights, head lights and main beam.

Will have to find me a proper workshop manual.

    Thanks

  7. The wife melted the fuse for indicators and now I have none pretty sure I found the fault on the trailor plug but need to get them working again to sort it.got the melted fuse out and still have power at fuse,I have a shitload of relays to figure out anyone on here know where the turn signal relay is located?

Have found the headlight relays on inner guard and one under the expansion bottle on passenger side.i have no hazards or fan blower either.

Can't seem to find a wiring diagram online have searched all the itoc sites with no luck.if I can rule out the relay I can start on wiring.

    Thanks in advance

  8. seems like things went for fair prices considering condition of them,is there anywhere you can check what they went for? nothing on the auction website,i offered 5k for that skyline before it was plundered it looked from the pics it was missing lots that was on it,was told it was for sale at 20k!!!

anybody know what small micro cars went for and the veedub fastback?

was anything left as in not sold?

  9. we went for a look around about 5 months ago,we got put onto it by a guy who bought an elan there so we arranged a visit,it took so long to make an offer on what we were interested in and get it accepted that we lost interest,if the auction runs no reserve there will be bargains, but the guy looking after them all knows there value and im sure will put reserves on some of the better cars,oh and the merc is available for 30k or was when we made an offer.

its not far from the city in christchurch but dont ask me were wouldnt have a clue how to get there again, which is were it will be held no doubt as there is just to much stuff to move, there was quite a serious collection there to begin with possiblly 80 cars have already been sold.

lots of micro cars diahatsu, suzuki, etc and lots of old furniture, tat etc.

should be a good auction quite an interesting story to it all to
