Same old boring stuff, mtech kits, conservitive BBS rims, sometimes alpinas, etc.
Ha. Ok so it needs less black and less front splitter, but other than that I rate it.
World would suck if we all thought the same way though.

Speaking of different BMWs, Sparkle, this is muuuuch more betterer

This is somewhat amusing though

as I wrote somewhere else, whether the car looks cool or not anymore is irrevelant to me. When he started fiddling with that car, the "bmw scene" needed something different. Same old boring stuff, mtech kits, conservitive BBS rims, sometimes alpinas, etc.
Agree 110 percent. BMW 'scene' is pretty bland. I'll add overstretch tyres to that now too.
Just dont think what he's doing is either new or special. And looks like arse.

Have no idea what everyone see's in that thing.

This is also an interesting thread.

Should mention they're not mine ha.

if the log was a bit bigger it would probably be o-k, looks a little on the small side really. but yeah ideally a taper manifold or a central inlet with a gentle expansion would best.
also on those socks - what is that? an M3 6cyl engine? I woudl say the socks will lose you heaps over whatever smartey germans put with the factory setup which makes pretty much 100HP/Litre doesn't it?
They are E36 M3 ITBs on a E46 2.8 in an E30. The problem with the centre entry factory plenum is that it interferes with the retarded E30 remote brake booster.
I think it's still a work in progress but it pulled quite a nice graph.

Sweet, I can thankyou now if it suits.

Kinda expected as much.
Damn shame, was enjoying watching this come together.
-
So.....?
-
Ah well, guess I can run something oddball when I finally get another E21 (had a couple E28s, an E12, and an E30 too btw )
Yes, yes you have ha.
I've seen all photos before/have stopped looking. Too much distraction.

Bad luck fella. Had a '71 many moons ago. White on brown. Worst car/most fun of all others.
-
Depends on the ECU/tuning. What is it?
-
Sorry Sparkles, not convinced.

Are the guards getting tyre rubbing action at the moment? With such a wide stance you might need to remove that entire outter lip.
This is quite neat but a completly different style flare to what you have now but would allow tyre to travel a fair distance up under the guard possably. I dono mab not wide enough.
Mab make some fiberglass/carbon molds to make cust ones.
No rub with the wood block springs in there atm ha.
I could have done the M3 thing but then it's just another M3 replica and as mentioned the boot and rear window are different etc.

Every man and his dog has a set of BBS RS on his E30, should be something different on a Commy though.
I also have a set of these
BBS RS740 in 17x8 et bout 20, but need centre bore adapters and are a bit low in offset.
Could look allright with gold centres.
-
Tracks about this much bigger, bit more at the front.
On 17x8 et35. Not easy finding 5x120 wheels in decent sizes at 15-16".
Looking for an older '70s? style for it. More profile less wheel, chrome bumpers etc.
Also like ally droptanks and side exhausts ha.
-
Yeah man, rip shit an bust. I love it.
Always easy to make things look pretty with pics of finished work.
Also, lots of time and maybe $2k all up thus far so pretty cheap.
-
Agreed. Not over happy with the flare at the moment. Some suspension travel would also be nice.
I may cut them off all together and go bolt on ala
Also pondering wheels. Some 16x8/9 3 piece would be apples/hard to find.
-
Considerable amounts of inspiration in there.
Been following for a while now.
-
Yeah pretty much. The E46 was our daily drive and was written off on the motorway while the wife was driving.
3.0 would have been nice, it's a heaaaps better motor.

The other side
Hate doing things twice so this kinda sux.
Also, in the absence of a decision as to how to improve the flares, I've left them alone
